Menu for Water's Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, CT

My brother hosted his wedding at Waters Edge resort and spa, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The villa rooms are... impressive and the view is fantastic. Looking out over the sound as the sun rises is a great feeling. The villa rooms areexceptionally well appointed. The location is perfect, literally right on the water with expansive and we'll manicuredgrounds. The service was mostly very good, but at times felt less than one would expect at the price point of the rooms. Weheard from several staffers that the issues occured as a result of staffing levels, but I feel this is a weak excuse for ahotel. The hotel saves on being short staffed, but rooms remain the same price - so as a customer I'd rather not hear thisexcuse in the hotel industry. Staffing is part of the product one is paying for when going to a hotel instead of a rentalproperty. Still, I'd recommend the location for a large event, assuming that an "ocean" view and coastal location is a keydesire. It is a beautiful hotel. As per rooms, you get what you pay for. In season the villas go for over $1000 per night..they are... gorgeous. Outfitted with Viking kitchens, in room jacuzzi tubs, beautiful bedding and a large outdoor patio on the beach. We hada Loft apartment, it was a duplex. 1 king bed, 1 full bath, kitchenette with stove top, microwave and full fridge, appliances,dishes, pots and pans coffee maker. Full dining area, living room with fireplace and balcony over looking water; in addition 2twin beds with 1/2 bath on upper level. This cost about 650 per night in season. We have also stayed in other rooms of the hotelsome great but a little worn. Restaurants really good, beautiful beach, good spa...an excellent holiday spot in Connecticut. Read more

Married here on April 22, 2022, we booked a year in advance and when we booked we couldn?t have been happier! But with many... unexpected employee turn over, no notice of menu change until the tasting and a few other bumps in the road had been upset andready to cancel. Understanding that many factors like Covid change how things work we held on tight and and had been promised agreat day. Well the day has come and gone, and thinking to post a review or not for many months, I would never want anotherbride to feel less than or I would love for Water?s Edge to get it together! When asking real questions I was met with attitude,lack of organization, and comments that where uncalled for. The day of was unorganized, thankfully I had my own weddingcoordination because getting any info from management was like pulling teeth. The management left as my wedding started, we hadbeen left with no champagne to toast. I had to request our added dessert and some food was missing from the cocktail hour. I candeal with the mistakes but the attitude I was faced with for the year and day of planning still makes me sad. In the end wewhere left with an apology and a night stay but in the end 3 months later I am still dissatisfied and upset with what we wentthrough. Read more

The most beautiful resort I stayed at. The staff was very friendly and the resort is absolutely gorgeous. I had an amazing... week. Restaurants on site were good and the beach/pool area were unbelievable.. I plan to return next year.. Only minor note isa few more shops for the guests(sundries etc) would be great.. Read more

The location is absolutely beautiful! The resorted is located on the Connecticut shore along a particularly photogenic stretch... of the Long Island sound. The grounds are immaculate. The interior of the resort is well maintained and the service isexceptional. Unfortunately, the meal that I ate here was not as great as the surroundings. The lettuce in my Caesar salad wasa bit limp (overly dressed?) And the chicken on top was dry. Definitely worth another visit to try the food again though. Read more
