Burger was great but the side Cesar salad was horrendous. I think it was a week old with soggy croutons and really old greens.
I came here with my husband and kids first time coming here. It's Labor day and of course we had to wait for like 30 minutes... which of course due to the holiday. They seated us to a table and waited for like 15 minutes and finally someone came to ourtable. We put our order in she took a while to get out drinks and like another 10 minutes our drinks came. Food came out it wasgood except for kids pancakes it was only one pancake they need better portions for the kids, but the food is fresh. Comfort food at it's best! They had me at popover. We got waters and a nice hot popovers immediately - gratis served with... plenty of butter. Nice surprise for sure. My Gourmet Grill Cheese sandwich was 5 star. Mouth watering, with lots of gruyerecheese and a nice tomato slice. The bread was outstanding. I didn't realize how much I miss a good pickle. I ordered caesarsalad for my side. Healthy portion for sure. Hubby ordered the smashed burger with brioche bun. He is super picky andcritical when it comes to burgers. The man didn't say one word. He gobbled it right down. He ordered the mac n cheese for hisside. Love the breakfast menu and know that you can order breakfast very late. So excited that this is only 4 miles from ourhouse and the price was very reasonable! The only thing they have to work on... there were a row 2 spot booth seats that hadrips. Wasn't a good look. Unfortunately I went in with decent expectations for this place. I sat at the bar and had a chance to look around before my... order was taken and the more I looked the more I was upset with what I saw. Surfaces behind the bar were all dirty and beertaps were not cleaned with care. A cooler to the left of me was open the entire time I sat through my meal and was still openwhen I left. There was a railing along the bar and I could see the buildup of whatever was there had never been cleaned. Andthis was for every bracket along the bar, not just mine. It was only the beginning. I know places that have been in businessprobably three times as long and never have seen such a sad milkshake machine. I truly hope it's just a decoration and notactually used to prepare anything for customers. The espresso machine looked unhappy and the steam wand was sitting in afrothing container looking unclean, and to my distress I saw a staff member pour milk from it that I didn't even know was inthere for however long. It was never steam purged after it's use when they poured from it. In the cooler below the espressomachine I saw paper carton containers that were just left open and not folded closed. I mean... Please. Close things even if ina cooler. My food was placed next to me and I kind of stared at the plating wondering why it looks like it was just kindaplopped there and sent out that way. Expo shouldn't send out sloppy plates. I gave them one extra star because I saw "poachedeggs and hash with hollandaise" and didn't read any further than that. My corned beef hash was served over a bed of cornbreadwhich was very surprising and I had to double take on the menu. There was more cornbread than protein on the plate. Thesweetness of the cornbread overpowered everything that was savory.
