Like many local establishments, I WANT to love Seize the Bagel. They are such nice people, and I love bagels and coffee. Should... be perfect! Except...the bagels. They're bad. Wrong texture, no flavor, and they seem stale. There's no chew, they basicallycrumble. I think the ones I got today may have been day-olds, and if not then they were over-baked or something. The coffee isamazing! Coffee ice cubes in your iced drink! Great variety plus seasonal specials! The cream cheese is so good! Homemade in aton of delicious flavors! Tasty desserts, even the vegan cupcake! But the bagels? They should be seized, but not for yourmouth. Maybe for ducks? Or bread crumbs? Read more
One of my absolute fav spots to grab a quick bite to eat, & has been- consistently-for years! The grub never disappoints, and... the service follows suit with the small-town feel. Very grateful for a spot in town that has such an abundance of killer veganoptions (with new items introduced fairly often!). Coffee&fresh citrus juice always pairs well..&don't skip the oversized gingermolasses cookie at checkout!! Its worth it- I promise. Look for older bagels sold at a discount toward the start of theline.... & don't be shy to ask the cashier about any other "day-olds", because I've found that sometimes they have even morerefrigerated items discounted back there(just not openly advertised).
