Was here last week for vacation (pretty sure it was 3 Aug). Went one afternoon based on the reviews. Great location. Food was... okay. Chips and three types of salsa were pretty decent. My fish and chips were okay. The batter on the fish was a littleover-cooked and not what was expected (fish and chips batter tends to be light and fluffy); however, it did not tastebad. Service was severely lacking. Took forever to get someone to take our order. Took longer to get drinks (in fact, chipsand salsa appeared before my beer and my wife's Sprite). My wife had to get up and get her own refill on Sprite (or whateverclear soda they serve). My food and drink was finished before I was ever asked if I wanted another beer. I do not know mywaiter's name, so unfortunately, I cannot give a more targeted review. Most importantly, the staff seemed less than happy. Noone worked as a team. No one helped each other. Glasses were stacking on the bar, and no one was pitching in to help thebartender wash them. The bartender had little sense of urgency. Came here twice while in town for the weekend. Bartenders and servers are quick and friendly! Ryan was our server tonight and he... was very fast, kind, and accommodating. It?s currently a limited menu due to short staffing but I highly doubt you would notlike anything on the menu! We had crab cakes for the first time ever and they were delicious. My boyfriend typically doesn?tlike seafood but he enjoyed these very much. The green chile sauce drizzled on the plate and cakes is slightly spicy but reallycompliments the crab. Fully stocked bar with an excellent selection of draft and can/bottle beer, wide range of liquors, and a few wines. We sat at... the bar - which we prefer when possible - where we had the chance to talk to the staff. Everyone was super friendly, helpful,and fun to talk to. They make shirts with different quotes on them, and most of the staff wore different versions - we had agreat time asking about the quotes, hearing where they came from and why the team member chose that one over another. The foodoptions were decent. We weren't wow'ed by the food, but it was certainly reasonable - especially from the view of abar-and-grill. Overall, we had a great time.
