Had breakfast for lunch here today. Approximately 10 tables were eating/ordering when I arrived. I was greeted a seated politely... and quickly. My waitress was friendly and brought me a water promptly. I ordered chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, and 2pancakes. I waited Approximately 30 minutes for my food! Too long in my opinion. Eggs cooked perfectly, hash browns cold,pancakes cool, chicken fried steak huge and hot. I'm thinking the gravy was from a can. It coagulated quickly. For $13 it justwould have been nice to have everything served hot. Had to ask for syrup. That was the last I saw of my waitress. And....severalsaff were sitting a table away from me working on silverware or something ...playing tic toc videos at full blast. Not moodmusic! After eating and no sign of my waitress I left my 20% tip and went to the register to pay. I explained my waitress nevergave me a bill. The cashier found her and she checked me out. Located at 270 Cooley Street in Springfield. This was the first time here since 30 years ago. It was a good experience. It was a... full house, but our wait was about 10 minutes before we were seated. The waiter took our drink orders then came back to take ourbreakfast order. The food was good, coffee was good. My wife and son opted for standard fare of bacon sausages and eggs, I optedfor the steak omelet and blueberry pancakes. Staff were attentive and friendly. This is probably one of the most terrible IHOPs i've ever been in which a strange because when you walk into place is very... clean. I had to wait at the front for 25 minutes before anybody even came out and seeded me because they have nobody workingthere. The waitress I think was cooking the food and waiting on the tables. It was quiet in there. Only one other couple gettingsome food but it still took me 50 minutes to get an order of pancakes. Then after I was given the bill I had to actually end updownloading an app so I could pay it because I was sitting there so long. Waiting for the waitress to come over and get themoney.
