I’d eaten food from Rasham at a catered event before, but this was my first time in the restaurant. I had a great lunch with... my mom. Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. They also have a Pakistani/Indian grocery store that I will definitelycome back to! This place is a gem. Read more

We stopped here for a meal on a recommendation from a Pakistani woman I met. She said the food was very good. After having a... couple dishes including the Grilled Feast and the Jalfrezi I absolutely agree with her. The meal we had was delicious. Servicewas prompt and the price was fair. Even more compelling are those in the kitchen, serving, and behind the counter. This is afamily enterprise with a common immigrant story that almost all of us have. I spoke to two of the brothers that run therestaurant and adjacent Pakistani grocery store. Theft were very nice and encouraged me to visit Pakistan. They enjoy bringingtheir cultures food to Connecticut. This restaurant has my recommendation without hesitation. You will have an fantastic mealin a family restaurant all the while experiencing another version of the common American immigrant story. Read more

It is one of the best Pakistani restaurants I have ever been to in USA, that's iandncludes Houston and Dallas. We ordered Mix... Grill, Goat Nihari, Chicken Jelfrezi and kheer. Everything was perfect. Although I would have preferred to have a bit morekebabs in the platter but still it was good. Will definitely go there again. Read more

Came for iftaar in Ramadan— dinner buffet. Happy with the quality of the food. All the items were spicy so my kids couldn’t... eat it. Staff was friendly— young Pakistani guys wearing all black (all brothers?). Service was best for indoor seating,Outdoor seated people were ignored. Mutton biryani was really good. I liked their chai also— kind of strong but tasty. Irecommend coming to their buffet. Appetizers were good. Flat fee $22 per person for the dinner buffet. Unfortunately didn’tknow you have to make a reservation in advance for their small indoor seating. We did call before arriving and were told we maybe accommodated inside but on arrival were taken outside. We had kids and were seated outside in their “heated” tent whichon the rainy windy day didn’t preserve the heat (let rain inside the tent and tons of cold blasting wind) and the heat wasonly on for an hour before being shut off (saving money there?). Couldn’t enjoy food due to physically freezing. We had beenfasting for Ramadan. ??????Despite many tables being empty inside and repeat requests to be seated inside including if we can beon standby since tables were empty, unfortunately for us we weren’t accommodated. Unfortunately as well, we saw three maleswalk in with scrubs and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate them inside. I never liked this class system in south Asiancultures. I thought women with children would be of value over a “doctor”. It’s a reflection on the failure of Muslims:who cater to professionals versus think about humanity/humility which is true Islam. Both my husband and I are professionalsthat dress and act humbly, but my husband joked he could use his doctor card next time or show up in his scrubs so we can beaccommodated. So sad in my opinion. We believe in all people being treated fairly irregardless of religion and socialstatus. Will give it another try. If class system behavior continues will seek out another place to eat.
