Food quality was average at best. Expensive for the quality that we got. They kept the water filled in our cups so that was... nice. Ordered two pieces of chu-toro ($16) and o-toro sushi ($20) and it was lacking in rich fatty flavor from the blue fintuna that I had in Japan. Soft shell crab was good. It was crunchy and seasoned with dipping sauce that was slightlysweet. Tako Yaki (deep fried octopus balls with bonito flakes) was alright, but the texture and flavors were not comparable towhat I had in Japan. It has spicy mayo drizzled over that I wasn't a fan of. Kyoto roll was a strange combination of flavors.Cilantro and yuzu came out strong and snow crab wasn't that flavorful. Interesting if you want to try that fusion offlavors. Beef sukiyaki ($20) was poor overall. The beef was overcooked, stuck together in clumps and tough to chew. Thechrysanthemum greens were interesting, but unexpected from what I had before. Two sides came with the rice and one of themlooked like some kind of potato or yam, but it didn't seem like either after biting into it (not starchy). It was really sweetthough. Burdock roots were alright. Hope other items on the menu are better. Read more

First off, great food! And other than our waiter on 8/12/22, all the other wait staff were excellent! We arrived for our... reservation a couple minutes before 7 and were sat right away, but then we waited until about 7:15 before our waiter arrived. Bythen we were ready to order drinks, apps and our main courses. Food came out quickly, delivered by food runners and never oncedid the waiter come back and check if we needed anything or if everything came out ok. I ran out of water and had to go to thebar for a refill. After an hour of being at the restaurant, the staff that refilled my water at the bar finally brought us ourcheck, never saw the original waiter besides the one time taking our order. Sadly, this girl from Charleston where the food andservice is amazing was once again left dissatisfied in a city supposedly full of amazing food. Read more

This place was okay. Not the best but not the worst. Food was prepared quickly. Workers were nice and professional. The Korean... short ribs were bomb and the rice was actually good quality. Everything else was bland. Probably wouldn’t recommend. Read more

This place has excellent sushi and a great ambiance. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got the two sushi rolls lunch... special, it came with miso soup and tea. The tea had green tea and brown rice and was super delicious. The Sushi chefs were alldressed out in fancy chef attire. They have a private room where you sit on the floor and eat. No shoes allowed in the room, even the server removed his shoes before entering. Read more

We tried to get in here a few years ago but it was too busy. Now I see why!! Their fish quality is very high. We always test a... new sushi restaurant by ordering the sashimi. The plate came with 9 different types of fish. Two "huge" pieces of each type.Every bite was so good....creamy...buttery...melt in your mouth..just delicious! Also ordered a Bento box. Tempura was light andcrispy, fish perfectly cooked also delicious. We will definitely add this to our restaurant rotation. Read more
