We had brunch today at the restaurant in this beautiful historic observatory deck overlooking Seattle. The food was excellent:... we got the brekkie and it came with delicious mild sausages, chimmicurri potatoes, eggs and sourdough toast from our localbakery (Macrina). We also got the mimosa flight where you get to choose the flavors/mimosas and we picked orange, cranberry andraspberry. The staff was super nice and they kept us informed of the food and the drinks as they were being prepared. It was alovely sunny day in winter and the brunch made it even better! Read more

The museum was fun to explore on the way up to dinner and drinks! Service was top notch as was the dinner. Someone got engaged... while there and we all cheered and clapped for the couple. Sit in the chair if you want a proposal in the next year too! Thedessert was called like chocolate Onyx, I think and it was so, so, so good!! Read more

First time in town and always wanted an elevated view of the city. Initially, I was going to take a ride up the space needle but... thought there's got to be a better experience under $37.. Found the Smith Tower right outside the light rail station. It has amuseum entry/elevator fee (around $20 I believe) but the restaurant/views from the deck are worth it. I ordered an Oaxacan OldFashioned, which was delicately balanced and accompanied by an awesome view of the water. When you're done, you're able to walkaround and enjoy the 360 sky deck. Read more

Lovely place with an old world feel and charm. Don't miss the Wishing Chair! Catered food was enjoyed by all. Variety of... alcoholic and non alcoholic (original) 'mocktails' available. Observation walkway offers views of Pioneer Square, the Sound, downtown Seattle, and the east side. The elevator ride to the top still has the original metal closing gates. Wait staff veryhelpful and frequently checked in. Super cool experience! Read more

I visited the Smith Tower Observatory and Bar on a Saturday at around 4pm and had to wait about 25min to get a table. You cannot... go up to the observatory until there’s a table ready if you also wish to eat and drink. There is a large and comfortablewaiting for room below though and the staff will text you when your table is ready if you wish to leave and return. They werevery kind and entertaining. I had the Princess Angeline $12 which was a delightful cocktail with a beer floater, greatcombination of flavors and enough alcohol to feel it and the Som Tam $10 green papaya salad which was refreshing and delicious. My only complaint is there were large pieces of mint and basil that were just too big to eat. The staff was kind and helpful andthe atmosphere was lovely. The views from the bar and the deck are incredible and well worth the visit. I would watch youralcohol intake as drinks and heights don’t always mix well, I felt a bit dizzy after only 1 drink being 35 floors high. This,in my opinion is better than the space needle and I’d highly recommend it! Peruse the menu beforehand since it is on thehigher end of expense. Read more
