Not sure if I would go back. If I was in the village area again and wanted something warm... maybe only because they have so... many other restaurants at the mall. Pet friendly: No Family friendly: Yes Parking: shared parking with the other shops at thevillage FOOD: Crispy Imperial Rolls (pure country farms pork, white prawn, mushroom, fresh mint, n??c ch?m) $11.50: When thesefirst arrived to the table, my first thought where they are so tiny. I think its hilarious they charge almost $12 for THREEeggrolls that they cut into 3rd. They were crispy but you didnt taste any of the stuff that they listed on the inside. Thebest thing on that plate was the n??c ch?m. Spicy Pork Belly (Pure Country Pork, lemongrass, chili, shrimp sauce, served withn??c ch?m) $18.00: I wanted to like this dish but seriously... there was NO spice unless you actually bite into one of thelittle chili. The amount of pork and rice they give you is very minimal. The pork belly is a little salty but otherwisetasty. Bún Bò Hu? (Spicy central Vietnamese soup, beef brisket, pork belly, pork shank, pork sausage, banana blossom, shrimpsauce) $18: Once of the reason I've been wanting to go to Ba Bar was they had this noodle soup on the menu. I've been wantingto try it as most Vietnamese restaurants around me does not. I did not like this at all. One of our friends tried it since Iwasnt sure if what I was tasting was traditional/authentic - she made the weird face and said something is wrong with the soupas its not supposed to taste like that. Lemongrass Rockfish (seared Washington Coast rockfish, lemongrass, turmeric, cabbagesalad, pandan rice, side of tomato tamarind soup) $19.50: This was probably one of the best thing out of everything we ordered. Surprisely, this was one of the largest dish and the best tasting. They did go SUPER HEAVY on the dill and towards the end ofthe dish, the fish was getting salty. DRINKS: Old Phoshion (Pho broth fat washed Trail's End Bourbon, ca Read more

Pretty good Vietnam food that serves Thai dishes as well. Interior is really nice and warm. I ordered the spicy pork belly with... rice and it was delicious. Their portions are small and quite pricey for what you are getting. I hope they can improve andincrease the rationing. Will definitely come back to try more dishes! Read more

Ba Bar's U Village location is a cute blue dot on the less busy side of the street. The food looks and tastes fresh and is... actually on the healthy side. Soup noodles were delicious - our table ordered the curry noodles and pho ga tron. While the curryflavor was pleasant, I thought the pho could use more meat and quickly turned into a mass of noodles that overwhelmed thesoup. Don't sleep on the salads here. They are all fresh and vibrant. The shrimp salad was a favorite of mine. It has thesweetness you'd expect from pineapple and slight pungency from the fish sauce. The saigon wings are not bad if you like a sweetwing. The star for me is the vermicelli combos with chicken and rotisserie meats. All of it was cooked perfectly and tastedgreat, especially with the provided dipping sauce. The rockfish surprised me with how good it was. For dessert, it was pandanpassionfruit cake. Who doesn't love pandan? Bit dry, but still great ???????? I love this spot! It's cute and trendy and theservice was quick and friendly. Read more

Can't say enough good things about Ba Bar!!! I crave their chicken vermicelli noodles all the time. The ingredients are always... super fresh and HUGE portions. I've been to their Capitol Hill location a few times, and SLU. They're all super similar andconsistent. One of my favorite places if you want some decently healthy food with tons of flavor. Highly recommend the chickenwings and imperial rolls on the appetizer menu!! Or the Pho, or vermicelli noodles. Read more
