Date of Dinner: 08.26.22 We did not have a good experience at Daniel's Leschi. We went there on our Anniversary and had several... issues. This was absolutely not a $350 for two people experience. More on the 20% mandatory charge later... To start, thestaff (outside of our server) was not warm. The manager was very cold and did not even smile and the hostess actually correctedmy wife for using the term "waitress" which is a job she used to hold. My wife knew it was an antiquated term, and said it moreas a slip, but as we were walked to the table, the hostess let her know in no uncertain terms that people no longer say"waitress." Calamari as a starter was pretty good. No complaints. Main courses were VERY hit and miss. My crab legs may nothave been frozen prior to being cooked, but they certainly behaved like it. The meat stuck to the inside of the shell and wouldnot come out. The server (who was awesome) apologized and immediately said he would take it off the bill. My filet wastop-notch. Well prepared, loaded with flavor and great. My wife's New York on the other hand was covered in so much salt thatshe eventually just bisected the top off the steak and ate the remaining 3/4s. I thought she was kidding but she gave me a biteand it was like eating a salt lick. Finally, there is the added charge. Average menu items flirt around $100 each, but Daniel'smakes it very clear that they now add an extra 20% ON TOP OF EVERY order and that the 20% goes to the Schwartz Bros restaurantorg. It's quite fuzzy in terms of what the server's cut of that 20% is and it simply says that servers are paid a wage plus"sales commission." So, we felt obligated to tip our fantastic server an additional 15% hoping he'd get close to 20% with this"commission." This would have put us over $400 for two people had it not been for the removal of the crab legs. We are NOT foodsnobs. We love all food, be it from a food truck, a diner, or a fine dining establishment. We are not compa Read more

Yum, one of my favorite Seattle restaurants. What a view! We sat out side on the deck and had wonder calamari. I had lamb and... my friend had a steak salad. Everything on the menu is wonderful and they have a great happy hour menu. Fun place to celebrateor take a dare ???? Don't forget to save room for cheese cake! Read more

The view at this restaurant is amazing. I love coming here for happy hour. It is always fun having a beer or cocktail and... watching the I90 bridge. They do have an outside deck but it only opens in the summer. The service here can be a little slow butoverall friendly and helpful. Due to the pandemic, HH is no longer offering. 20% service fee is applied to the check but doesn'tgo to the server. I usually felt bad so I always tip in addition to the 20%. Read more
