It has been many years since I've been to The Tasting Room. They specialize in specific local wineries which is fantastic, but... it also means that their selection will be limited. Still a great place to meet friends and taste great local wine. It's alsonot in the really busy part of Pike Place Market so a great place for a chill drink. Read more
Stopped in as we were waiting for a restaurant table. We were told over an hour but it came to be only 40 minutes. The host was... very attentive and quickly checked us out so we can make dinner. The wine was fantastic and they have about 4 different tastingflights you can try. Host mentioned she may do custom flights but not when they are busy. Read more
It was my first time with my family and we were hoping to have a pleasant time. This was not the case because the moment we... arrived to this establishment We received a very dry and rude vibe. The waitress was on her computer when we all walked in. Wewaited for a greeting, but instead the waitress just stared at us. She then continued on the computer. She finally said Hi to usafter we awkwardly stared at each other. We explained to her that it was our first time and ask how the process worked. Sheanswered us in sarcastic tone with ? I pour the wine and you drink? and again just stared at us. My family just stood thereawkwardly and she finally sat us down and gave us the menu and walked away. She went back to her computer and eventually cameback to us. She was not a nice person at all. my group felt the same from her. I was very exited to try this place because itwas my family?s special day and we were celebrating. Took my mom and my auntie here for wine tasting for the first time in Seattle. The experience was great, and our server was... extremely kind. My auntie is new to wine and wasn't finding any of the wines to her liking. Our server brought out another onefor free to help satisfy her. She was really pleased ultimately satisfying everyone. I went to The Tasting room a while ago. I was with my friend and wanted to buy a few bottles of wine for our trip. First we... entered and the owner was yelling at one of her vendors very rudely on the phone. When she hung up she apologized for that andsaid they had been messing up a lot. There was a sign outside that said taste before you buy so we asked to taste two wineswhich we liked and then asked to taste a third. I think if you're advertising taste before you buy on the sign outside yourshop this is not unreasonable. Honestly we probably would have bought all three if the owner hadn't scoffed and then said veryrudely you know I do charge for flights. I was offended by her tone, and would not come back. She could have said politelythat after a certain amount she has to charge. I also think if my friend and I had been older and dressed fancy she would nothave treated us this way.
