TLDR - definitely come here for authentic English crumpets and tea! Get the butter and honey crumpet, and Crumpet Shop blend tea... with whole milk. Long term US resident Brit here - when I found this shop I just had to go!! This is my first time at a placethat serves crumpets in the US. I got the traditional butter and honey crumpet, and the Crumpet Shop blend tea with whole milk.Verdict: really delicious!! You can taste the yeast in the crumpet. Honey and butter oozing out of the holes. Just like how Iremember it from a long long time ago :) The Crumpet Shop blend tea is amazing - it's a Darjeeling second flush and Ceylonblend. The Darjeeling taste comes through but not as strong as 100% Darjeeling, due to the Ceylon. It goes very well with wholemilk. The teas are brewed from loose leaf tea and put into thermos pitchers and you help yourself - which means you can add thewhole milk first and then pour the tea. This is great because when you brew tea into a paper cup, the taste of the paper impartsinto the tea and it simply isn't as good. You can purchase loose leaf tea here too. There is oat milk and hemp milk for thosewho prefer alternative milks. In conclusion, this shop incorporates fancier crumpets than actual England (take a look at theirsavoury crumpet menu, that's stuff you don't usually see in the UK, at least not in the old days when I lived there), the basichoney and butter crumpets are divine, their tea is actually good. I think they did a great job of incorporating authenticEnglish stuff into the melting pot of America, without appearing pretentious. Well done! Read more

Another great choice for breakfast at the Pike Place Market area. We made sure to stop by this place before leaving Seattle and... I'm so glad we did. Each of the items were fresh and had good flavor. The line to order is always long so be patient and it isworth the wait. Seating is also tight at this location so please plan accordingly. My very first crumpet experience and loved it. This gem is right near the pike place market and a very busy one. The line moved... pretty quickly around noon and the crumpets were just delicious. The pesto, tomato and cheese is a must try. There?re few seatsinside and 2-3 tables outside for dine-in. Would love to try some sweet crumpets next time! Read more
