I've been to Marmite a few times and I've always had a pleasant experience. Food is good and enjoy the atmosphere. However, I... did make a reservation once and they cancelled it on me (24 hours beforehand) because of Block Party. I made this reservation amonth in advice and it was bummer to have my reservations canceled with such a short amount of notice. This experience hassalted me on Marmite. Just keep in mind to check your reservation beforehand with them by phone. Read more

Wow! The service and food and wine here is so amazing. We had the brute, Chardonnay and then the red blend from DeLille for... drinks. We tried the salad belge, coquilles Saint-Jacques, chips de tompinambour, pain au beurre, Napoleon de saumon, and thepoitrine de faisan roti et sa compote de fruit. Everything was wonderful. My favorites were the pheasant, Jerusalem chips andthe scallops. Read more

Two things they did well. The Nettle soup and the scallops appetizer. The rest was a train wreck and very disappointing. It... took us 30 minutes for us to get our food after we finished eating our appetizers. Very poorly planned. The restaurant wasn’teven busy (now I know why...) Avoid eating here. Worst experience I’ve had in a long time at a high end restaurant likethis. The “grilled” mackerel was burnt to a crisp where you couldn’t even taste the fish. The salmon was not seasonedand flavorless. Read more

Great little spot in the alley and nice chill setup for two. Great ambiance and food for me was different from my usual tasting... but it's very unique and the staff was friendly. The heater above the table keeps you warm and the tent helps keep the tunnelwinds away from you. They had the street closed but found parking on the street across no biggie Read more

One of the hidden gems in Capitol Hill. It was our second time we went to Marmite, but this time on a very special date,... Valentine's day. The restaurant was very cozy and quiet, where the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner. The food wasdelicious. The menu consisted four courses with a dessert for two. In addition, wine pairing was offered in the menu but it wasoptional. Personally, I felt very comfortable in the restaurant all night; and it is not only because of the great interiordesign (it is stunning), but the staff (the restaurant's team) was exceptional and attentive all the time. The owner and chef ofthe restaurant was very friendly and familiar, and we had the idea of ??his passion for cooking and his business. Definitely,we are going back very soon!! Read more
