I recently filed a claim against Inn at Vanessie with the Santa Fe Better Business Bureau for false and misleading business... practices. For starters, they show amenities on their website which aren’t even offered: there’s no restaurant, no bar, nofitness club. This is FALSE ADVERTISING to showcase products and services that aren’t even available – and haven't been forsome time. Yet, they have the gall to charge an exorbitant $30 daily resort fee. We’ve stayed at many resorts over theyears—Inn at Vanessie is no resort. It’s not even close. Besides the lack of amenities I already mentioned, there’s alsono pool, no hot tub, no spa. As for the continental breakfast, it consisted of nothing more than sweet snacks bought at Costcoor some other store. Here's a short list: Brownie bites, cake, cinnamon rolls, Cookies & Cream and Strawberry yogurt, and sweetgranola bars. How about PLAIN YOGURT rather than the sugary options they put out? The only fresh fruit were apples that weresoft and mealy. In fact, there wasn’t one eatable healthy item on the table, which meant we had to pay for breakfast out everyday, which added to the cost of our vacation. Maybe this accounts for the many negative reviews found online lately.Essentially, Inn at Vanessie is charging guests for amenities that they cannot – or will not – provide, which is misleadingand deceptive. On Oct. 19, I emailed the inn and respectfully asked for a refund of $120 for our 4-day stay, and there's been noresponse. There’s no owner to speak to and the managers on duty are no help at all. It’s shameful (and possibly illegal)that they continue to rip people off by being dishonest about their "resort" amenities, hence this review. They fail toacknowledge emails and don’t seem to care about customer service. Management’s indifferent attitude should raise a red flagfor future travelers who are considering this property. We'd never stay here again or recommend it. You shouldn’t either, oryou’ll regret it. Read more

Not sure why this is rated as a 4 star property (as Google has it), but it gets 4-stars from me! We don’t have any... deal-breaking issues here. Starting off with the good: 1. Location: this property is located centrally near any restaurant andbar you might want. 2. Vibes: cute, Santa Fe style and character. 3. Accommodation: The folks at the front desk were friendlyand check is in early. To the not-so-good: 1. Cleanliness: our room was quite dusty and had a few cobwebs. 2. Condition: Ourroom was in need of basic renovations from new grout in the shower to an updated A/C. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and if wewere ever in Santa Fe again, this property would be on our short list. Read more

We stayed here for two nights. It's close to the Plaza and some good restaurants. Things to know before booking: -The... Restaurant and Piano Bar are closed, and have been for over a year. I couldn't find any mention of this on their web site. -The$35 Resort fee basically covers on-site parking and a continental breakfast. Very basic, but not bad. -Maintenance and upkeep ofthe property appears to be minimal at best We stayed in the Galisteo room. It was nice. We wanted to stay at a morerustic/pueblo style place, and this room fits the bill. However: -The room doesn't really match the photos I saw. -The TV didn'twork for our entire stay. -The room (and other rooms we saw) included a giant swamp cooler in the middle of the floor. Itworked, but it's an eyesore. -In the bathroom shower, the hot and cold are reversed. -It has a private courtyard and enclosedpatio. This would be great, except the courtyard is overgrown and hasn't been weeded in months (judging by the trees growingunder the table). It's probably been longer than that since the enclosed patio room was cleaned. I spoke with several managersnumerous times. They seemed nice, but never apologized for anything or even asked how our stay was when we checked out. We won'tbe going back, and can't recommend it for the premium prices they charge. Read more

The pictures and the description of the “motel” are absolutely not accurate. There is no piano bar open. No restaurant... open. This is in now way a resort. We were charged for a resort fee for each night we stayed and we had absolutely nothingbesides a room to stay in. I booked a larger room and they gave me the incorrect room for the booking. We woke up with ants(at least 100) ants in the bed. The staff was very apologetic but they could not do anything because the owner doesn’t seemto care about the customer’s satisfaction. DO NOT BOOK HERE. The Hilton is very close ???? Read more

Young female traveler with her preteen son here. Absolutely amazing hotel. So beautiful and comfortable. There is not 24/7... service or room service so be mindful of that. Otherwise- we absolutely loved it. Read more
