The staff was super friendly. It must be very popular place for the locals. They were consistently busy all the time we were... there. The food on the other hand I personally had issues with. The overuse of salt in their dishes. To be honest I do not likeusing salt on my food, I find that most dishes already have enough salt on it. I found that the staff or their manager we'revery open to my taste in food and very welcoming of my critiques. I give this place a 5 star, well deserved. Party of 7 on a road trip from California to Santa fe New Mexico. When we got there... we were debating on having breakfast there or going to another place I'm so glad that my Husband and Dad got off and walked tothe door. Rafael Aldana the owner and his family are so attentive and welcoming they gave us to taste the red and green saucebefore ordering and a taste of the Menudo which my Dad gave it a 10! Surprised with what we paid because the food is deliciousand their prices are so reasonable. If you're going or passing by Santa fe this is a hidden gem. Highly recommend. Read more
Was on our way out of town when we stopped at Sunrise. I had the 3 meat omelet and it was perfect. For a family of 5 the bill... was only $55 which is half of what were used to paying. The staff was attentive and polite. So great, simple food for a veryreasonable price, you can't ask for much more than that. Read more
The parking lot was tiny and crowded, so we parked on the side street. It is an old building with character and basic... decorations. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately. It was loud with conversation until a large group left. Iordered a bean burrito with green sauce, beans, and rice. Unlike most places, the pinto beans were mostly whole. The plate washot and smaller than I expected, but it turned out to be just the right size portion. My burrito had a high tortilla-to-fillingratio and did not have a strong flavor, but overall, was it good. My two kids and wife ordered variations of pancakes. Mydaughter got a pancake stuffed with whipped cream and strawberries, and it was "amazing." Pancakes were thick and about nineinches wide. The prices were a bit more reasonable than similar places. Visited on Saturday morning during peak time, no wait for a table and the service was attentive. We shared french toast and... chile cheese fries, both were good. The green chile has a kick while the red was super flavorful with a great taste. We aredefinitely going to make it a go to place, it was a great, no frills, decently priced meal. Read more
