Pitiful, see photos for how much they give you with the $14 fish taco and $26 tuna dinner entrees. We had to eat a second dinner... after this one, because we were still hungry. The seared tuna was still frozen in the middle, and the little tacos were only afew bites, like a small appetizer! Along with these entrees, we also got the cauliflower starter. We got the marionberrylemonade which according to my travel companion "didn't taste like marionberry or lemonade", and later that night a long islandice tea, which was "excruciatingly sweet". This place gets two stars because the cauliflower starter was actually really tasty,the best part of the meal by far, and the bartender who took our takeout order was very personable. Read more

We have been to Tanner Creek Tavern several times. The food and service is good and they also open the windows / doors in... summer so there is a nice breeze and airflow and you can sit outside too. Nice beer and drink selection too. Read more
My wife, daughter and I are staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant. Hotel is wonderful. 10/10 would recommend. This... restaurant- the opposite. There were literally five people at the bar and three tables of two already seated when my daughterand I arrived. It appeared that all had already been served their drinks and many had their food by the time my daughter and Isat down. Despite this, after ordering my drink it took nearly 20 minutes for it to arrive. In fact, it didn’t arrive untilafter our appetizer (which took at least 15 min). Appetizer was fine (hard to mess up fries) but my drink (a simple oldfashioned where I let the bar choose the alcohol of choice) tasted like someone made it in their grandfather’s northernWisconsin basement bar (you know the one, with all the wood paneling and the pool table from the 80’s.) Then my wife arrivedafter doing some exploring and was immediately swarmed by two members of the staff, including the bartender, who apparently wasslow to make drinks because he was policing the patrons who dared to arrive with the remainder of their green tea in a clearplastic cup.) I get it, you can’t bring outside drinks in, fine, but the attitude this guy gave my wife…I don’tknow…I’d make my drinks better and quicker for the ten people in my restaurant - that looks like it seats at least 100 - ifI was going to be rude to patrons. Maybe that’s just me. There are WAY TOO MANY good restaurants in the Pearl District witheither name recognition, quality food, great ambience (or all three) for this hotel bar to be playing fast and loose with theircustomer service. Not a great experience. The atmosphere feels cool (as in cold, sterile. Not hip) and the service was mediocre. The server seemed... stressed. Brought my pregnant friend a drink with alcohol even though she asked him three times for without. When she asked forsomething else he stormed off mumbling something about how busy it was (it wasn't particularly busy). Tavern Toddy was fine,coffee drink was basic. Butternut squash soup was lukewarm and didn't have a lot of flavor, Tavern Burger was decent and cookedperfectly but the bun was pretty dry. My partner had the Flat Iron Steak and said it was good. Prices were reasonable - $120,including tip for our two-person bill. One person in our party ordered the rockfish tacos and said they were okay, but it was asmall entrée and he was still hungry (three street tacos), another had the seafood stew special and she said it was good, andthe others had the mussels appetizer that they seemed to enjoy and a cheese pizza that looked undercooked - I didn't ask how itwas.
