Driving back from Washington we stopped here on a Sunday night and had a great meal! First of all the vibe is very charming. We... sat inside in a booth in the dining room but the patio looked cute too. Garlic knots are addictive, burrata special salad wasdelicious (the one on the menu also looked good) my kids (teenagers) thought the pizza was amazing and we also had two types ofhomeade pasta. I asked my server her favorite because servers always know the best ones and she said radiatori so I got it and-guess what she was right-it was good as hell. I inhaled it! We got great service. Also had interesting and affordable italianwines by the glass. I didn't feel like cocktails but that list was tempting too. Very nice experience, I am so so happy thisplace is open on Sundays. I truly hope to make this three a five - yet until the owner fixes the AC and gets a sunshade in the back room - to sit in the... back room of this place is miserable in the summer. Everything else was perfect: staff - incredible, food: wonderful,unfortunately you won?t even be able to see your family and you will be soaking wet until the above is fixed - if you go in thesummer - sit outside. Please let me know when this is fixed so I can make my 3 - a 5 star rating. Once this is fixed I will givea 5 instantly. This used to a good place and one of our go tos once or twice a month precovid. We ate there tonight and wow has it gone down... hill. I got their new white bean and tomato salad and fries it was decent but pricey at $12 for the size of the serving. Myhusband ordered their new eggplant lasagna, $18 for a relatively small square, no bread, no salad included ( they used to givefree bread). The eggplant was inedible as it was not sufficiently cooked, and it was tough and rubbery. Since what we orderedwas new on the menu you'd think someone would have checked on us to see how our meal was, nope not one person. We ended uptelling the bus person how inedible the eggplant was and he said, "yeah they were concerned about it as they knew it's hard toget eggplant soft enough". Oh and the french fries came out kind of warm and not at all hot--that's on the server. So, I hopethey get better again, but we won't be going back. My suggestion is that everyone orders something different, and you share. Go three courses. Caesar salad was AMAZING. Garlic... knots. Make sure one of your friends gets pizza, one gets pasta, one risotto. Get enough for leftovers. It?s all made inhouse, including pasta, and it?s as good as it gets.
