Normally I like this place for food. They have a wide, unique menu that anyone can find something that they like. This time... around I was bummed out. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with a chicken patty. The menu says it comes with a lot ofmushrooms, which it did not. My chicken was as dry as cardboard, the bun was mushed and soggy and my salad was overkill on thelettuce. Togo orders should always have burger and sandwich sauces on the side, especially for Grub Hub. It all tasted good, butwasn’t the typical quality I’m used to there. Sadly, the worst part was the carrot cake. Great size, great taste, greatfrosting…. But the nuts! What the actual heck?! Carrot cake CAN have nuts to add texture, but trail mix in every bite? Majoroverkill. If they left the nuts out entirely, it would have been the perfect slice. Maybe just sprinkle them on the top sopeople who like traditional carrot cake, don’t have to endure a mouth full of nuts for the future? I’ll happily still orderand really like this place. I just hope they can take some tips on their food and togo packaging. Read more

I remember this place back in it's heyday late '80's early '90's. It's nothing like that now. Food was impressive, but wish it... was more Wow! Service was nice, professional. If it was busier - everything and everyone would probably had a better buzz. Ithink I came at an off time. It's like that sometimes. We got the burger and fries - we are on a best burger challenge for thepast couple of years. So far, this is great but not in our top five. Fair enough to say, Nob Hill Tavern in NW PDX and TheGarage in Vancouver take the too 2 spots Also tried the Nachos - love bat food and that dish varies everywhere you go. This wasok, but I thought the toppings were a bit sparse further down the stack. Chips were best part of it. I think they make thosethemselves. Quite tasty, just enough salt, crispy and crunchy even under sauce. Best part of the Nachos. Worth the dish - thefull one, not the half dish portion. Just get extra toppings added. Wish they layered the cheese better through those tastychips on that stack. I I'll say the size of the full portion - that stack of chips was beautiful. Just wish it oized moreyumminess. Won't go back there again right away as it's not in my path. But next time I am in that area, I will poo in and thistime sit at the bar to watch a game. Loved seeing the back patio open again!!!! Old PDX establishment, worth the trip butmaybe during a busier time to get that old school feeling again like in the old days. This was the joint, I tell you! Worth theprice range, but needs to get back to pumping that awesome vibe that made people want to be there, again. Read more

Can be a bit hectic, but if you want an authentic "Portland" feel bar, this is it. It's quaint, has pool, lots of TVs, comedy... upstairs. It's a mainstay of the bar scene in SW. Good food too. Read more
