HORRIFICALLY bad "Bar Karen" ruined evening How difficult is it to prepare a simple Bloody Mary? Apparently it was beyond the... ability of the "Bar Karen" who served us. She made the worst Boody Mary I have been served in decades. It was so bad, and sopoorly made, I could not drink it. And FYI when it is winter and 35 degrees out you do NOT load a glass up with as much ICE asit can hold. A Boody Mary should be RED not "see through". If it is TRANSPARENT... you have put far too much ice into theglass. A properly made Bloody Mary should taste primarily of Tomato Juice. Her Bloody Mary was so full of Horseradish ittasted as if it was made just from Horseradish. Pretty nasty stuff with an odd metalic aftertaste and the burning sensation - Icould not force it down. I took the drink back to the Server andp politely asked if it could be remade. She moved into full"Bar Karen" mode. I excused myself and went back to my table. She followed my back to my table and began to lecture me about MEbeing rude. Seriously, I had had one of her horrifically bad coctails... I did not want another one. And, If she is so cluelessshe blames the Customer for her inability to do her basic job.... If the Owner expects to stay in business, he/she needs toreview their basic "Customer Serfice Expectations". With this person. No sane person would ever go imto this bar after beingtreated so poorly! A friend of mines favorite place to go. Everything on the menu is excellent and it wouldn't matter what I got. I opted for the... fish and chips with their homemade beer batter dipped fillets which were delicious along with their French fries. I didn'tparticularly live their coleslaw as I am used to a sweeter, wetter slaw but others probably love it! CANT wait to try somethingelse! Read more
I live near here and can stagger home if the little lady refuses to drive me. The proximity is the only reason I visit. They... have an OK beer selection and mixed drinks are below mediocre. The food a little on the gross side and the selection sucks. They have a huge selection of the menu devoted to fryer tuck chicken when they should just stick to hamburgers. For a sportsbar, the TVs blow and are very poorly placed. I'll be back, but only because I live so close. Read more
