UPDATE 7 months later: So if going back at the next opportunity to visit again isn't the best review you can give I don't know... what else I can say! Was NOT disappointed! food was just as good, service was just as friendly and I cannot believe at 6:45pm ona Friday night that the place was not packed?! In fact there were several empty tables. Portland, you are missing out if you arenot frequenting this outstanding establishment! Original review: Wow!!! Amazing food! Super friendly staff! Great atmosphere!Fast service. Bistro 23 makes little sense to a local when thinking about its location but it makes all the sense in the world to someone who... flew to Portland who is looking for quality food near the airport, or near their airport hotel, or on the way to the airport.Thankfully this local lives nearby and the food here has been great on every trip. The burrata, the pizzas, the potatoes, thedrink menu, etc. The food is shockingly good, the staff incredibly friendly, and the indoor and outdoor seating spaces are ampleand comfortable. It?s a bonus to sit on the patio and watch planes land. If this restaurant was closer in to the city it wouldprobably do amazing but I?m also very content to have it stay right where it is just a few minutes from my house. Fantastic experience. Stopped in for the first time with only about an hour to eat, and was able to be in-and-out within 45... minutes and not feeling rushed. Service was fantastic, food was amazing, and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted. Read more
