Reminds me of Cheers. Where friends meet to leave the world behind. Halibut fish n chips are amazing !! Thick, fresh and not... greasy. You won't find them better in the city. A nice close in city favorite. Even the fries are better than most. Read more
Wonderful authentic English Pub, with darts, chess, and even a cozy fireplace. There are so many beers on tap it's hard to not... try them all! They even have some ciders! John provided us a walk down memory lane, schooling us on the history of how the ownerback in the day was one of the first to support local craft breweries such as Sierra Nevada and Rogue. They have traditional pubfood, but the chicken pot pie ... Omg, it was perfectly toasty, was not overly salty, and stout with tons of chicken! But youreally have to try their homemade chips...muah! Always delicious! The best bangers and mash, though, it doesn't come with squishy peas, they are more firm. I like that more so... it works for me! It also comes with a very generous serving of mashed potatoes! The steak and mushroom pie is my all timefavorite! Read more
I have ALWAYS loved the Horse Brass. I went for lunch today after being away from Portland for almost 10 years. It hasn't... changed. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because it's so dark in there, I can't even read my menu. Read more
