Stopped in for a quick bite before I had to rush off to get my haircut. You order at the counter and you get to choose between... Bread and Ink Cafe and the Waffle Window. Completely different menus so it really doubles your options. I got the smash burgerwith waffles fries and my friend ordered 1/2 chicken & waffles. We both shared our meals so we had the best of both worlds. Myburger was juicy and had just the right amount of crunchiness. The chicken was also very tender and paired well with thewaffle. Will we were there we definitely noticed that they do a lot of delivery app orders so read in to that what you will. Read more

Messed up four out of five plates and charged us extra and when we mentioned it they made us wait in line to fix the check so... our food was cold. Horrible. The chicken and biscuits (which wasn’t even what I ordered but ate anyways) was over battered andbland. The salad was dirty and had hair in it. 10 for 10 would NOT recommend. Worst experience in a long long time. Read more

Haven’t been to Bread and ink since the pandemic, I was so excited to see they were open on google. Once we arrived it was... completely open with no one greeting us, but had a sign that said “Outdoor seating” and another stating “order atwindow” No breakfast menu to look at only a overly priced lunch/dinner menu… The only window available to walk up and orderis Waffle window, a completely different restaurant. I am extremely disappointed I wasted my time coming here when they could ofsaid on their website or on google about dine in or take out only.. Read more

Food was phenomenal as always. One of the best breakfast varieties in Portland. Lot of original dishes and delicious options,... and during regular service great service and attention to detail. Only thing preventing me from giving 5* is that if you go "offhours, between 1pm and 3 pm on the weekends, you will have to order from the waffle window, which had some really really reallybad service. Whomever was running the window this weekend was trying what I can only imagine to be charming, but came off asabrasive and rude. Very disorganized as they had no menus available for B&I, and not much attention to detail. I understandlabor is super tight right now, but I would suggest they would be better off just closing B&I during those hours and lettingwaffle window do their own thing. Unfortunately for people that have never gone there before there is now always going to be theassociation and probably won't return to the restaurant all of us love so much. Read more

B&I had always been a consistent go to. They haven't gone back to serving tables so you have self serve yet & the prices are... outrageous/equivalent to San Francisco. There are still too many great breakfast places in Portland and on East side as options. You've comfortably used potatoes to make people feel their getting more...poor man's breakfast for a rich person's wallet.
