I came here because of the mural outside and they have high rated coffee drinks. My friend and I got a rose city latte with... oatmilk, drip coffee, berry pastry, and the California breakfast sandwich. The drip and latte were fantastic, but the foodneeded a lot more flavor. The breakfast sandwich was egg, cheese, red onion, and avocado but it didn't seem like they added saltor pepper. I had to eat it with ketchup in order to actually enjoy it. The lamination on their pastries is phenomenal but itseems like they bled butter during the baking process because it ended up being a bit dry. I would be willing to come back andtry again. Read more
We live in the neighborhood and are so glad Rose City Coffee is here! It has been great to see the shop transform under the... current ownership. It went from a weird space with books everywhere and awkward seating arrangements to a welcoming, open spacewhere people gather or sit to work/study. I also love how they sell products from local makers and artists to further supportour community. We buy coffee by the pound to drink at home but are always looking for an excuse to walk over for a latte,breakfast sandwich, and a hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles for our son. This is one of my favorite coffee places. Cool vibe, lots of seating, good coffee, food, and pastries. They have a variety of... coffee options, really good breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. Their pastries are among some of the best in thePortland area. I popped in here one evening to get some work done. They have super cool/friendly staff, plenty of space, good WiFi, and they're... open relatively late for a coffee shop. They have a solid drink menu and pastry selection. I enjoyed my iced matcha with oatmilk. I tried some complimentary pastries, so why not talk about them: Brownie was super soft, almost cake-like in texture, withrich and delicious dark chocolate chips. I'd come back for that.
