First...you get a 5 star review and you deserve it, however I was a bit disappointed give all of the recent accolades that has... been heaped on Ken's lately. Facility was good, an interesting design and layout and the staff did a good job. The place hadgood energy and was definitely pumping on the Thursday evening we were there. All good. I did have a bit higher expectation ofthe pizza overall and especially the crust. It was good to great, but definitely not outstanding, which is what I wasexpecting. The pizzas were too round...cookie cutter round is not in my preferred. The two biggest items with the crust werethe pie edge was not substantial and the flavor of the crust was fairly weak...again in my opinion. I much prefer a beefy pieedge with some crusty chewie textures. Both of the pies we got were limited in this area and were limited and narrow and didnot have the really nice texture difference I was looking for. The flavor of the crust was pretty limited in my opinion. Ihave a strong preference for a very tangy sourdough flavor with lots of air bubbles in the edge. That was not the case for ourpies and the flavor was a bit flat. We had a corn topped pizza which was wonderful and tasty on the topping side. The otherone was a meat based pie with lots of pepperoni which was pretty good, but not my favorite. So Ken's was great and definitelyworthy of high ratings, but given all of that my expectations were very high and I was expecting more here, particularly in thecrust. I would not shy away from here, but I have had better pizza in Portland at other places - Apizza for one. Read more

The pizza and calamari were so good, I didn't have enough time to take a picture before eating it. It's a busy spot but the... decor is great and it's worth the wait. I'm looking forward to trying everything else on the menu. Read more
This was my second visit to one of the best pizza places I have visited in the United States ???????? trust me! This was my... second visit and many more to come since I was very contended with the first time I had an impromptu dinner at this restaurant.Their Anchovy pizza was subtly smoky and delicious! One of the best I had ever had! Highly recommend their calamari appetizerand it?s super appetizing and tasty. Very fresh (you can see the chefs prepare these in the open kitchen) and mouth wateringspicy (I loved the perfect spiciness but it might be a bit too much for some. Recommendation is to use the sauce with the pizzayou order in that case). I like vegetarian pizzas a lot (in addition to sea food pizza). It would be great if Ken?s pizza cancome up with more veggie pizza options?.just an excuse to try this once every other week ;) Must visit! You can?t go wrong here.And one pizza feeds hungry two with full content :) We got two pizzas during our first visit and had to pack one home (noregrets at all but just saying). This could be the best pizza I've ever had, even better than in Italy. They keep it simple, yet combine such complex flavors. I... had the Brooklyn.
