We were absolutely blown away by the neighborhood, the atmosphere, the service, and the pizza. One person in our party of about... 9 people ordered something different and her meal came out long after the pizzas did. With no complaint on our part, and it heridea, the server mentioned she was sorry, they had screwed up the order so they had to make it again, and she was going to takeit off the bill. I've been to a lot of bars in Portland and had decent experiences. However The Station went above and beyond in food and... service. Lizzie, who was working on HER BIRTHDAY no less was a SUPER STAR! The station was not the place for me I popped in two nights in a row cuz they ran out of pizza week Pizza the first night. Even... though there were only four people in the restaurant it still took 5 or 10 minutes for me to see your figure out who is actuallyworking. The second night the service was a little better but similarly paced. It seemed to me like there was not the samefriendliness and eye contact I'm used to in Portland it also is covered in TVs pumping in sports, which is not my style. This was a terribly mediocre experience. We came for pizza week after being intrigued by the sound of their pizza: Bacon, Apple,... mozzarella, arugula, goat cheese, honey, and garlic oil. Good right? It was... fine. The toppings, while tasty, were sparse. Ithink it could have used quite a bit topping because the crust to topping ratio seemed off. Our waitress was disappointing.She wasn?t friendly and she also didn?t check in to ask us how everything was. That would have been helpful because we didn?thave any silverware or napkins. Another person dropped off the pizza and basically flung it at us and walked away. He didn?tsay a thing to us. I had high hopes after reading the ingredients, but the service was so disappointing.
