Best meal we had in Portland. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Service was great considering the place was packed for a... soccer match. We'll definitely be back! Read more

We are British seeking British food. We were not disappointed and this felt like a pub back home. The food is AMAZING! I don't... think you would ever hear me say this, but I was gushing about the mushy peas that had a bit of curry flavor to them. OMG themeat pie was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The pastry on it, perfection. Every fine detail brought us home. Though they did not haveBoddington's on tap, I forgave them ;) They had some lovely ales and largers. I am looking forward to going back. Even our weeones loved their sausage rolls. Whilst they were not serving traditional blanched and fried chips, the ones they made with thesauce were so good that my kids made a song about them and left with handfuls of chips. The only drawback was that there wasonly on street parking, which we worry about due to the homeless on the sidewalks and don't want our car to get knicked. Thisarea, seemed okay, but the homeless people camping on the sidewalks made us want to come during daylight (before 5PM) if we gowith our kids again. Not all homeless folks are bad, but we don't want to take the chance with our kids.
