I was recently tasked with planning a luncheon to follow my Mother's memorial service. I live out of town and was in the throes... of the first months of a new school year and feeling very overwhelmed. I wanted everything to be perfect, but felt veryindecisive and a bit scattered, which is not typical. Ashley Barna, the wonderful River's Club event planner, was very patientwith me and step by slow step, listened to my thoughts and laid out what she thought would be best, communicating regularly withme along the way. The event could not have been better! The room was lovely, quiet, and so well planned out as far as set-up wasconcerned. The lunch buffet was fantastic! We received many compliments from our guests on the excellent quality of the food.The bar service was attentive and efficient. From the moment I walked into the room, I felt completely at peace, and confidentthat everything was taken care of. I cannot thank Ashley and her wonderful staff enough ,for making our event a huge success! Iwould most definitely recommend The River's Club for any special event you plan to host! Read more
The host did not know what the soup of the day was. If you're using a pod for work, no one will come to see if you need... anything. If you do order food in a pod, no one will check on you or take your dishes. We are recognized every time we go in, but they can't seem to remember we'll always want coffee and we're going to order lunch. Our food orders frequently come outwrong, and they know it. It's become a running joke with our server, "what's going to be wrong this time"? What does that say, when the server knows its going to be wrong. It's not difficult. A side of mayo or no lettuce or soup first. These are notbig changes. Even when it's straight off of the menu with no changes it comes out incorrectly. I ordered a sandwich thatfeatured a pesto ailio. No pesto ailio, when I asked, I was told that was a different sandwich, despite pointing it out ontheir own menu. I'm just not sure what the value of this membership is. Read more
Celebrating my wedding reception at the Rivers Club was the best decision! I loved working with their amazing event... coordinators, Ashley and Cailin. They completely brought my vision to life! The food was AMAZING, everything was right on time,and the space is beautiful. Our guests had nothing but great things to say. We had our wedding at The Rivers Club and we had the most amazing time. All of our guest loved the space, food, and drinks. We... couldn?t be happier with our choice in having our wedding venue here. All the staff was amazing, and Ashley is the best weddingcoordinator. She was incredible throughout the entire process even as we changed things last minute.
