Great experience! We got seated fast, the waitress was attentive, food came out in a timely manner. I got the spinach Benedict,... it was really good. We also got the big apple pancake, a little burnt on the edges, but the inside was amazing. It was greatexperience! Read more

This was my first visit at the Original Pancake House. A friend of mine was there recently and raved about it so I had to check... it out. First to the good, the place is very nice and the food is of very good quality. Very good bacon and the pancakes aresoft, fluffy and very flavorful. I had the blueberry pancakes with blueberry sauce, very delicious. (with upcharge). Now to thenot so good. The waitress had the attitude of a Bureau of Motor Vehicles clerk she is very short to the point and efficient butseems too busy to be friendly. The manager seems to be very overworked and stressed out, I saw him yelling at customers next tomy table telling them not to come back to this restaurant if they didn't like it, getting very closely into their faces with afurious expression. Downright scary. Now, I don't know what happened there but I thought his attitude was uncalled for. As Isaid, I enjoyed the food. However a total of $24 (incl. $4 tip) for bacon, eggs, three pancakes and a coffee seems veryexpensive to me, you be the judge. A couple miles down the road was a Waffle House where I could have gotten a breakfast for $8.I will not return to this place, the value is just not there for me. Read more

I stumbled upon this place while visiting town. It was one of the best waffles I have ever had. I ordered the gluten free... strawberry waffle with their homemade strawberry syrup. The whipped cream is homemade as well. I had their turkey sausage whichis also gluten-free and very moist. Overall, I had a wonderful experience! Too bad I could not eat there on Monday because theyare closed. Their hours are very short as well. Would definitely go back there when I go for a visit! Overall bad experience, and would not return. We elected to go here because the Denny's at the bottom of the hill had boarded... up windows. We should have went there. There was a wait and I was understanding of this. The host would not let me look over amenu while I waited. We were taken to the table and waited a while before a disgruntled lady approached the table and got ourorder. She seemed upset that the table ordered both coffee and a juice of some sort. When asked about clarifying things, theserver appeared to be in a rush and bothered by our just being there. The order was wrong, and the food came out cold. We weretoo hungry to complain and just managed to eat it anyhow. The fountain drinks tasted like bleach. We were traveling and thoughtit may just be the water, although the coffee didn't have this taste to it. The coffee was cold. Had to ask for refills. Had toask several times for syrup for the pancakes and French toast. After we got our food, we were told that the credit card machinewas down and we would have to pay with cash. This wasn't an issue because I had cash to cover the table, but there were severalpeople that only had a card. Perhaps this was temporary but they cold have put up a sign or told us when we were seated. Eventhough the food was cold, it just had al all around bad taste. I would not venture up the hill to this place again. Read more

The food is top notch and everything I've ever had has been beyond awesome. The only reason for 1 less star is the wait time to... get the table and then the food to come. Getting the table wait I understand but the food taking 45 mins is crazy. I'd suggesttaking the order while people wait to save time for everyone. Read more
