The soups are marvelous! The flavors stewed together with the chick peas, a hint of mint, the rich beef broth, homemade noodles;... perfectly paired with the warm , Sesame Uzbek bread -absolute perfection! I highly recommend the Ugra and Mastava Soups???????????????????????? The Nuhot Shurak melted in your mouth and I added a little heat with a dollop of the homemade UzbekChili Garlic Sauce. A must go to restaurant in Pittsburgh, the best kept secret in Culinary Cuisine in the Burgh .. Everthinghomemade , everything made with precise pairing of spices . Fantastic Food ..???????????????? RUDE! We were outside, trying to order on the phone. And the women in the phone was so RUDE! We were gonna order for bunch of... people, because she was so rude, we just wanted to talk to the manager or the owner but she told us she is not there. We toldher she is rude and hung up!!! These kind of people should not work in restaurants! They just lost a big order and a valuedcustomer. We already know that the food is good but we will never come here again. Read more

I used to order the Uzbek plov years ago, but recently ordered again this past Sunday. I got an order of the handmade beef manti... for the first time and really loved them! They remind me of soup dumplings and the sauce they come with is also lovely. I alsotried the chicken soup with their fresh bread. Very satisfying. Would totally recommend Kavsar! Read more

Kavsar is one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh! Always delicious, always friendly! The only thing that I can complain about... is that we live too far away and can't just stop by for a dinner any time we want some good food. And, as of special note, wehave a little family tradition to order kids birthday cakes from Kavsar's owner (Tahmina) - they are just amazing and verycreative, we always get tons of compliments from our guests!
