We went on a Tuesday night, not crowded, only two other people in the restaurant when we arrived. First off there were four of... us, and my husband mentioned separate checks, which they don't do, we had to divide it, as I said it was not crowded. We gotthe "special" appetizer which was a baked Portabello mushroom cap, topped with crab meat and cheese. Not hardly any crab tospeak of! whatever was there was stuck to the cheese, shredded, hardly any crab at all. Our dinners included a salad, which wasminimal at best! The two men in our party ordered spaghetti, one with meatballs and one with sausage. Both portions werebarely larger than a side portion! How much does spaghetti cost?!! Cheap right, both spaghetti dinners were $25! There ismore spaghetti and meatballs in a can of Chef Boy ar Dee! Also the mushroom cap ended up being $22! So my husband asked tospeak to the manager, he expressed his amazement and disappointment at the cost and quality of the mushroom, for which shededucted only $6.00. I had the carbonara and very yum. Heavy on the garlic and lots of flavor. It came with a small house salad. We also got the... spaghetti and meatballs- Sunday sauce basically. While visiting Pittsburgh and staying in Mt. Washington, my family walked to this nice neighborhood Italian restaurant. It... reminded us of the best things about our own favorite place at home: great food, local feel, caring staff who've probably beenthere a while, and reasonably priced. All of our meals were delicious, as were the deserts that we shared. Portions were healthy- enough to satisfy but not so much that you gorge yourself because it tastes so good and feel lousy afterwards, or need to takehalf of it home.
