We wanted to go to the Armory on Saturday night but the wait was so long. We ended up at the Barge. Immediately after being... seated it was abundantly obvious why there was no wait and many empty tables. We were a party of 8. We were not escorted to atable, instead we were directed with the wave of arm and point of a finger to our table. Our server was amazing but not so muchto excuse the extremely rude owner, the freezing dining area, the terrible food and the lack of vegetables served with ourdinner( 1 piece Of carrot and a leaf of spinach)Again, aside from our server who went over and beyond to satisfy us - the restwas pretty terrible. Not only will we never go back we will continue to tell everyone we know how terrible the food andexperience was. Read more

I gave it a 3, but it's really more of a 2-2.5. It's still stuck in the '70's. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with an... odor- it smells like urine, BUT, in reality, I think it's just the smell of the carpet that adorns the dining room. Definitelytime to tear that up, and go with wood or LVT. The glasses and silverware were very dirty when we arrived at our table. Ourserver was very polite and attentive. She gave us all the time we needed- we were a large party, and some ran late. At onepoint, however, the person bringing food out didn't bother to tell her, and our food sat there. We also had to get up and getour own coffee. The food was hit and miss. The scallop wrapped in bacon appetizer was good, but the baked clams had far toomuch breading, and what seemed like an overpowering lemon taste. The fried calamari was extremely greasy, and the breadingdidn't stay on. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, which ranged from surf & turf(very good, but accompanied by a useless lobstershell garnish), to perfectly done scallops, and a delicious stuffed lobster tail. The house made creme brulee and rice puddingwere very good. Their white sangria was overly sweet, strong, and you tasted more booze than wine and fruit. It looked likeorange juice. We also noticed that most of the people coming in to eat were of the 65 & older variety, who are probably thesame people who frequented The Barge when it opened. Make no mistake- this place has 4-5 star potential. I'd go out on a limband say that during a time, it was a 4-5 star restaurant. My parents liked the place for a reason. But they need to start withgetting rid of the carpeting, cleaning the dishes and updating the place. Read more

Food awful and over priced. Please never order the crab cakes or mashed potatoes. Scallops have no seasoning. Not sure how this... places gets high marks. Even my Hennessey drink didn't taste like the real thing. nice atmosphere but that's about it. Findanother restaurant Read more
