We arrived early on a Friday thinking we would avail of happy hour, but there is no happy hour here. We sat out in the patio... area, which was nice. We ordered the shrimp gazpacho and the tuna tartare to start. You can rename it the gazpacho with 4 smallshrimp…come on a few more shrimp and it was a winner. The tartare was good, not mind blowing but good. We shared a fish andchips and it was lovely. The batter was really light and the fish fresh and cooked perfectly. All in all a good visit…not sureI’ll be running back soon. Read more

Kinda bummed after our first visit of the season. Host was very accommodating and sat us immediately giving us a choice of... tables. Once we sat we waited and seemed like random servers jumped in as needed..not often enough though. Brought us watertwice so we had 4 glasses of water plus drinks in the small table then we ordered the chips and salsa to start and receivedeggplant dip and when we told the “manager” as he passed he seemed annoyed and returned later with the chip/guac which wasvery average. The sushi was not up to par with past visits. Our initial cocktails were not great so we switched to wine. Honestly, I was kinda embarrassed that I suggested the restaurant to my dining partner. My aunt was celebrating her birthday, November 4th. She called the restaurant early on Friday. Asked about reservations for... dinner that evening. She was told , no reservations required by the person answering the phone. She also asked what time thescheduled band ( a long time friend of hers was performing) was supposed to perform. They said 9 p.m. We got dressed up anddrove there around 7 40. We walked in the front door and there was a second glass door yo the dining area. Before we reachedthat door, a short older gentleman was standing looking through the door at us and said to the younger man next to him . " Oh,they don't have a reservation" I found that odd but we proceeded in. I said, " hi , dinner for two" ? The older guy asked if wehad reservations. My aunt answered , " no , I called today and they said none needed". He opened both arms and looked aroundand said " My dining room is full. No reservations, I can't seat you". I said , well we were told none was needed. He shruggedhis shoulders again. He never said , like all restaurants do, there is a wait time, or anything. He pointed to the bar areawhich had no room and was crowded. My aunt mentioned the band that was supposed to perform, and he goes" oh you here for the ,band, and looked at the bar area again. " A table might open up near the bar if you want there.. At that point we stepped outthe glass door then left. I called the restaurant the next day and the person on the phone said he would have the manager getback to me . Haven't heard a thing. We are both from the Caribbean. Read more
