Ballard's is the place to be when you arrive and depart Block Island. From the beautiful rocky beach to the inlet jetty there is... plenty of room for everyone. They have a unique daiquiri bar with over 12 flavors, multiple tiki bars and a huge indoor sportsbar. They do have bathrooms on the beach so you don't have to walk through the restaurant which was very helpful. The onlydownside- the food wasn't that great and we were surprised at the lack of sauce/dressing on salads. Security was good aboutkeeping people in the right areas when they were with alcoholic beverages. There were also multiple games and cabanas you couldreserve on the beach. Very fun time. Read more
Very cool place to grab a drink. The place is massive with a number of different bars spread throughout the resort. The Espresso... Martini was excellent. I didn't get a chance to get food but everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked very good. Can'twait to go back and try it out. Read more
Terrible experience on multiple levels. We booked a umbrella 2 months before, getting with drinks and boards etc. When we arrive... they probably overbooked or gave away our reservation. The place was a madhouse because of Reggie fest. We didn't want to stayin the mob without our umbrella reservation. They gave an option to refund our card or get a gift card. I specifically said Iwanted to use that card elsewhere. They gave me credit only for Ballard's which we were not going to use which I stated. Andagain I said I was spending that money elsewhere, which we needed. Terrible communication plus ignoring that I wanted to use themoney elsewhere...because it was only for that establishment. So in effect we lost our reservation, frustrating enough, and thenas far as I'm concerned, regardless of intention, was scammed out of 200$. Failure from a customer service basis, communicationbasis and any case at all for their paying, prepaid, guests. The failure to honestly hold by reservations is annoying enough.But then being dismissive and unapologetic about a failure to honor their word is irritating. It is exceptionally frustratingbecause that and then not communicating that our refund was useless outside of their establishment is simply unacceptable. Iwill not go back. Good luck if you are unfortunate enough to expect them to honor their reservations, really their integrity,for caring about paying customers. Recently went to Ballards for reggae fest. The music was great, and they had amazing bands. however, the atmosphere was chaotic.... We were piled on top of people. Definitely Be aware of the drinks, there is no alcohol in them and it cost 40$. It was already ared flag when the prices weren?t listed. They are also very understaffed. We waited 1.5 hour for our food. The beach resort wasa bummer. Read more

Incredible beach club in Block Island. Staff is extremely friendly, they go out of their way to make you happy. Food is... absolutely delicious, drinks are well made and always fresh. Manager Mr. Lander is a true Leader and very professional andaccommodating, he go out of his way to resolve any problems and make sure the guests feel welcome and happy. Live bands are wellchosen for the place. Such an incredible vibe and amazing beach... I wish I had something negative to review about this place. Ihighly recommend. Read more
