UPDATE: I'm lowering review from 5 stars to 2 stars after today's experience. As the original review indicates (see below),... they used to honor the $10 lunch special for vegetarians, which consisted of 4 sides. I would've been okay if they raised theprice since my last visit a year or so ago (like most retailers). But not today, in fact every side dish, 4-8oz container, was$5 each. Customer service was great, the employees were very nice and helpful however, this food is not good. The fried catfish has no... crunch and has a ?fresh out the water? aftertaste. The mac and cheese has no salt and isn?t baked enough, the candied yams haveno candy. The fried chicken is meh, and they give one piece of cold cornbread. Just bland and soft. The portion sizes are poor.$20 for two meats and two sides and got 1 piece of soft catfish and two chicken wings boiled in grease cause this isn?t fried.I?m not even tryna be funny but these are easy improvements. Food was really good, and it was authentic. I liked that I was able to place the order online. I do wish they put a sign within... their restaurant indicating where to go for online order pickup. When I went in the first employee told me to wait on theregular line, which I did. 10 minutes later, the cashier told me the pickup section was somewhere else. The food at Sandra?s is the bomb!! Sadly It?s only takeout and it does take about 20minutes for them to prepare the food but the... wait was worth it. I had the salmon with collard greens, yams, and rice (the rice was included). I added a little jerk sauce onthe side because I love my food to be extra saucy. Read more
