I loved German food so we decided to check this place out. The server was such a nice gentleman. It was my birthday and we... ordered the Hager schnitzel which was so delicious. I got the 1-liter ?das boot? that was so awesome. Yummy beer and food in alland it was amazing service. Would definitely bring my coworkers here for a lunch or celebratory dinner. Thanks! Read more
Always a great time at East Side Restaurant. Tonight there were seven of us. We?ve been coming here for many years. It is one... of the most fun places you can go and enjoy a wonderful meal with friendly service and be entertained. I think we had everyappetizer on the menu from the pretzel, potato pancakes, wurst sampler, fried mozzarella, cheese balls, corn fritters andwings. I had my usual sauerbraten potato pancakes with apple sauce, purple cabbage and carrots. For desert I had the warmchocolate cake with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and a coffee. My fiancé?s grandparents are from Germany and we have never found a place where the German food even came close to being... authentic like he grew up on- until we found this place. Walking in- the restaurant looks a bit outdated but it works. The waitstaff are in lederhosen and really make you feel like you are in a German restaurant in Germany. We got the bratwurst samplerand a pretzel as an app. The sampler was 100% worth it. Sauerkraut was cooked authentic- you could tell sausage and bratwurstwere authentic. We went with rouladen and potato pancakes for our entree and WOW! Most places who claim to be German resturantsdon?t even offer this meal- even though it is quite a delicacy over there. The beef was tender, the pickle was cooked warm. Thecarrots were tender and cooked perfectly and the potato pancakes were crispy and thin. Served with applesauce and sour cream. Well priced for such a HIGH quality of authentic East German cuisine. Everything from the hearing with cream sauce to the French... fries fried in lard! If you want a quieter dinner I Would go on the earlier side to beat the dinner rush as it got loud as wewere leaving. Although the crowd would be fun I?m sure .
