A pleasant surprise! Hong Kong 97 is an excellent example of what an Americanized Chinese food restaurant should be. The food is... surprisingly good. The lounge is ?cozy?, but comfortable. And the drinks are stiff in the way a frozen corpse is ?a little bitstiff?, which is either a good, or bad thing, depending on your perspective. The staff is no nonsense and friendly. If you arelooking for a hipster mixologist, this ain?t your lounge. However if you are looking for a good bar in a Chinese restaurant withgreat bar food specials, a truly excellently executed menu and great drinks, then this is your place. An absolute must try. First time here and won't be the last time. Good mixed of Americanized Chinese food that I grew up with. The batter for the... shrimp is one of the best around.
