We ate here for a Saturday lunch and it was not busy at all. The atmosphere is nice, new, open, and would be a good place for a... date. We tried the outdoor patio first but way too much road noise for me so we moved inside. Our family went and they had astandard kids menu. We had the cheese fondu and artichoke dip to start, both are good with the steak on the fondu being thestar for me as very tasty and speaks well for their steak entree. They need to improve the serving utensils on the Fondu vs theflimsey wood spears that did not work well for me as I ended up with as much on my shirt as my mouth. The extra cheese saucewas great with the fries which were nice and crispy. The artichoke dip was good but not great and decent chips but nothingspecial. I had the green Chile stew as an entree which was OK with tender chunks of pork and potato but is very lacking in thefull umami flavor, any hInt of spice, and is more soup than hearty stew. If you like the thought of green Chile with no heat oryou are from the north and want to brag about having NM chile with no issues than this may be for you. The stew was alsolacking any flour tortillas with it and were not available which was a first for me as I am used to eating it with tortillas vsa spoon. My wife had the Lava burger which was large and stuffed with cheese. It was a good large burger but once againlacking any heat and low on spice. The Monte Cristo was large and very cheesy and your standard artery clogging fare of friedcheese, meat, and sugar on top. The kids ate their pasta with no complaints and they had the standard crayons and paper menusso tablet to the rescue of having an adults conversation. Service was good and we enjoyed our waiter who checked on us severaltimes though the restaurant was not busy. The October fest beer was good and the pecan Amber ale was too much on the sweet sidefor me but my wife, who is not a beer drinker, enjoyed it. They had several selections of martinis a Read more

Great local restaurant and brewery. Very slow at lunch so you get really good service. I typically get the fish and chips, which... considering we are in the desert, are very good,as are the hush puppies and fries. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is also a greatchoice. They have a nice outside patio area as well. Recommend. Read more

Had a great overall experience with Pecan Grill. From being welcomed in and escorted to the table by one of the managers, to... the guy who served us. Great atmosphere and sat outside. Thursday evening not crowded at all. Beer time. Had a Desert Stoutwhich was phenomenal. No bitter aftertaste and went down smooth. Spot on. Would give the beer a 10. One of the best I haveever had. Had some fried peppers. Little bit of kick, great texture for the batter, crispy and were quite tasty. I'd givethem a solid 9. I generally like a little more kick to them. The dip was o.k. Had the fish and chips. It had two couple hushpuppies which were ok. Maybe a 7.5 is fair. There weren't many fries, but what there were, were very flavorful and some somecrispness to them. Spot on. Solid 9. The fish. Could maybe do with a bit less batter, but they were cooked properly and hadquite good flavor. I'd give the fish a 9 as well. Kind of small pieces, but I think the quantity was fine. Overall, a place Iwould certainly return to if I end up coming back through Las Cruces. **Went again on Sunday. Here's my notes. Entry thistime was rather bizarre. The little blond hostess seemed to be bewildered and was somewhat off-putting. Not a people person orjust not suited for this line of work. She wasn't rude, just had no idea how to handle people, unlike out last experience. Wefound a place to seat ourselves and she followed us to our table. Sandra, our waitress however was quite nice and took care ofus, as soon as we found someone to serve us. She was very good. Again, the desert stout was great, and the fish and chips frommy last review matches this time too. Very tasty. I did ask for an additional piece of dish which was $3.75, which was fine. Fries were again very yummy and had some crispness to them, but still only two hush puppies. The food and the waitress werespot on. Front of house needs some work though. This was Sunday about 2pm ish and it didn Read more

Fish and chips were excellent, not overcooked, fries seasoned perfectly. His beer was an IPA and met expectations. Valerie and... Daniel were very attentive. I'm a wuss with beer and his suggestion for wheat beer with an orange slice was super - and hebrought me a couple samples before I chose. I had the chicken lasagna, also very good and filling!
