Los Ojos was the only restaurant still open in early October in Jemez. Good thing too as the next nearest restaurants would have... been a 35 minute drive, on a winding two lane road in the dark back at Los Alamos. Good selection of food choices as well asbeer and wine. I had the bacon burger and it was delicious and tasty although the burger is only cooked one way which is mediumwell done. The other four in our party each ordered something different and every one found their meals to be quite good. Frieswere fresh and hot. Beer and wine available but not an extensive list, still a decent Stone IPA was nice to see on themenu! Friendly staff and reasonably priced! If we come back to Jemez on a future visit, we would eat here again. Read more

Quaint, historically decorated dive bar in need of management and staff! Not only did everything take FOREVER, the pie crust was... almost raw and my green chili stew was barely warm. The roux had started to gel! However, the fried zucchini was cookedperfectly as were my companions' burgers. We were desperate because we just walked around Jemez site for over an hour and werestarving. Many others filed in after then some left when they realized there were literally 1.5 waitresses working the floor. Isay that because number 2 worked at half the other overworked, confused girl's pace! Then they merged our ticket with someoneelse's and gave us a bill for -$82.00. LOL!! Pack a lunch or try one of the other places if you go to Jemez!! Sad because theplace has loads of potential considering all the people who come through there. Read more

This classic New Mexico saloon and restaurant glows with authenticity and charm from its 75 years as the Jemez Mountains'... community watering hole and unofficial town meeting place. It's a family-friendly must-visit on any trip through the Jemez...the most true wild-west saloon you can find in the Land of Enchantment. Always a great place to relax both in the heat of thesummer but also when the weather gets chilly and they blaze their massive fireplace and this place becomes a beacon of warmthand coziness. I always enjoy their Famous Jemez burger... yes, like this dish, this place is the most famous and celebratedestablishment in the Jemez Mountains. It defines community and local history. Los Ojos IS Jemez Springs. Read more

This place is worth the drive from Albuquerque. Let alone the scenery on the way is worthy in its own right. This watering hole... is authentic and oozes atmosphere that takes you back in time and allows one to completely disconnect from the present day. Goodfood, good drinks, good conversations. Read more

This is quite the unique place. It is a bit dark and full of very western, frontier type atmosphere. Food was decent. My... smothered burger was great. My wife's prime rib was way overdone. Staff were friendly enough. Seems this is a fav spot for thelocals. Crazy thing is this -- when you step out the front door and off the porch -- you are only 3 or 4 feet from the mainhighway through town! The restaurant is essentially on the "shoulder" of the road. Weird. Read more
