The food was very good and a good value. The wild game was great and I also really appreciate they have a veggie burger for the... vegetarians in our family. The staff was very friendly and professional. (Update - last visit veggie burger and other items wereno longer on the menu. I was surprised they had a veggie burger, so I am not surprised its gone.) I was a little annoyed when they said they stopped serving Bison burgers over a month and a half ago. I'm guessing maybe it's... just a seasonal thing, but I really wish they didn't have a sign up boasting that they serve Bison burgers. Anyways, I had somewarm apple pie and at least that was delicious. I'll try again to see if they have these mysterious bison burgers next visit :). Read more
We went here because we never had elk before and when requested we were told they didn't have burgers right now. Only thing... they had was hot dogs. Wild boar dog, elk dog etc. Only one person running the place, not impressed and we felt bad for theone lady working. Also pretty sure she microwaved the hot dogs, won't be going back. Spoiler?..The perfect road side restaurant to stop and enjoy not a good meal. More like great meal! Spent the day in White... Sands to day and decided to stop in and grab lunch. Was so worth it. I had the Bison Burger with the Wild Boar Bacon. 1sttime ever having that type of bacon. Must say the combination of the bacon and bison was outstanding. The pickle chips had theright amount of batter and spice to them. Highly recommend. Didn?t take any food photos. Remembered after after I had eatenthe burger. So I?d you?re traveling thru Cloudcroft/Mayhill to WhiteSands or vice versa. Definitely recommend stopping in andhaving some great food. Read more
