It really hurts my heart to leave a review like this as Captain D?s has been one of my favorite places to eat since I was a... kid?but today?s lunch was disappointing and inedible! The shrimp was anyway. My husband and I ordered 2 of the Double Dozenshrimp & 2pc fish meals and a 2pc fish meal to-go, and when we got home and ready to eat the shrimp was fried dark, dark brown,and was like chewing on little rubber bands. They could not be eaten and had to be thrown out. French fries and hush puppieswere hard as bricks. The fish wasn?t bad, we could at least eat that, but $41 is a lot of $$, between the 3 of us to only beable to eat 6 mediocre size pieces of fish out of our entire order. i WISH this was the 1st and only time this restaurant hasturned out this level of crappiness, but sadly it is not, and it is time it?s brought to management?s attention. My husband and i usually have a tasty meal here. The reason for the 1 star is this is the second time in a row (eat here 1-2 x... per month) that our meal was not good. The fish wasnt crispy, the fries were definitely not fresh. The service was exceptionallyfriendly and speedy as usual. We went at 2:30 on a Thursday.
