First time there and ordered a small cheese pizza. Big mistake, very thick, chewy crust, very little sauce on top and the cheese... was horrible. Either a mixture of cheese or some bland imitation of mozzarella. Unfortunately probably won?t be back since thequality isn?t there. Read more

Just not the same as it used to be. I totally agree with John Really. A two topping large used to have some weight to it. The... cheese seems really off, I'm not sure if its a lower quality mozzarella or a blend, which is kinda cheap. Hardly any sauce...thecrust /dough tasted old and was chewy.. my order was a large pepperoni and hamburg.. I was told 40 minutes at 7:40 Sunday night, apparently that wasn't correct, pizza was warm not hot, and I arrived a few minutes early too.. Two brand new pizza jointsopened in Somers a few miles down the road in the last year, I'd give them a try if you live in the area and stop driving out ofSomers for pizza. Read more

My Son and I went there on Friday July 22nd. When, we walked in there, it took our server approximately 4 to 5 minutes to come... to our table to give us our Menus. We both ordered Fish and Chips. We waited between 20 to 25 minutes to get our food. I haveworked, at a Pizza place myself. I know, it does not take this long to get our Food. Secondly, after we got our Food, theServer, never came back to our table to ask us how the food was, or if, we needed anything thing else. I'm guessing CustomerService, doesn't matter to this place. The roast beef grinder was the best roast beef I've ever had. Tender, still perfect mid rare even after toasting. Pizza is... typical Greek style done right. Crust is crispy, not too doughy. Toppings and cheese are well balanced. atmosphere could use anupdate, but there's a definite nostalgic charm. Food arrived quickly. staff was friendly and communicative. Love it! Read more

I have been buying pizza at Danny?s for over 30 years.- lived in Enfield 1966- 2004 even after living in Cromwell for the last... 18 years every chance I get I stop in for a Danny?s Special. Well this afternoon - we ordered an XL Special- never saw thissize but never look at the menus- - I was hesitant and said to wife- dough to pizza toppings on 2? diameter larger could beproblematic. So started eating the pizza on way home - very disappointed. Overcooked, the Crest is the worst I ever had atDanny?s. Those who know Danny?s you have come to expect a crispy gold brown bottom and an outer crust that is crispy- goldenbrown- and a wonderful inside. This did not even come close. The pizza lacked sauce, cheese, small pieces of hamburger and redpeppers were almost non- existent. In fact my wife used to complain that there were too many toppings- If you love Danny?s youknow the slices on a Danny?s Special used to eat like a meal. This was almost like a stale crest- the kind there the dough wasnot allowed to raise or sit or something - dry inside. Danny?s wife was working- obviously not checking quality. I don?tnormally write reviews. *** I will encourage other to try Danny?s because it?s a family business and great pizza 98 out of a100 times. I wish I was not half way home or I would have returned and assume they would have taken care of me. On a positivenote we ordered 10 Wings and those were great! Call this review tough love from a loyal customer. Don?t skimp on thetoppings- people will pay more for quality. Have someone pay attention to the quality- (today at 1.30pm the Resturant was fullof people dinning) however the phone was not ringing off the hook. Heck I even called giving them almost an hour notice sayingI would like to pick up at 1.30. I?ll be back again but if this were my first visit, I would cross this off my list sincethere are plenty of pizza joints around and this one experience would move me to another pizza joint.
