We went there to celebrate our 58tn wedding anniversary. The music was a little annoying, so I asked the manager if he could... possibly change it to something more appropriate for an anniversary dinner. He immediately agreed and proceeded to change themusic to something more enjoyable. He wished us a happy anniversary and brought us a complimentary drink. Ladies and gentlemen please don't order the Portuguese soup. I worked there in the kitchen,in Bristol. Joe the main cook a... quack. The owners cousin who comes from Portugal is a hot hot mess. I was chopping kale for the soup and came across bugs. Itold her we can't use the kale. Well she did. Just ???? awful ????. The owner is a fantastic man. I doubt that he knows whatwent on in the kitchen. He's just a kind man. His daughter did the paperwork for employees nice young lady. He just needs tobe present when they prep. Very delicious food. Octopus grilled to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Shrimp Mozambique cooked well with... good flavor and not too sour. Everything tasted fresh. Restaurant has good atmosphere and service was good. Highly recommended! Read more

I've been here several times before but this time was the first in a while. The room they put us in was kind of like the... greenhouse room. It was very large and decorated for Christmas beautifully. For food and drink, I had house merlot and orderedthe grilled cod with veg and chickpeas. It was very good. They give you good portions here so you won't leave hungry. Theservice review: Underwhelming, kind of like you and your child play pretend the game "restaurant" with you. Nice kids but theinexperience bleeds through. Example, I had to ask half way through the meal to please put water in my water glass. That shouldhave been done as we sat down. Not a huge deal, but I added that so you get my drift. The older wait staff is what you hope for. I'll definitely go back and hope for the best with the service next time. Read more
