Nice gathering after a quick trip to Schroeder, Mn and Fr Baraga's Cross marker. We had about 60 people, so it made sense to set... up in advance. Nice buffet luncheon. Cake ordered for dessert-- someone had a birthday. Our group had set up decorations, so itwas welcoming-- nice culture vibe!! Punch was available before lunch, full bar and coffee available also. My youngest daughter was married at the event center last weekend. There were a few hiccups like the wrong color table cloth... and a couple minor issues. I would have happily overlooked all of that and never posted a review like this. However, I wouldlike to start with treatment of the bridal party. She didn?t want them consuming alcohol in the ?getting ready room? thatwasn?t purchased from her BUT wouldn?t open the bar early so they could purchase from her. Molly physically took someone?sdrink cup and dumped it out and forbid him to have it the remainder of the evening. Mind you, this is someone who is marriedwith kids?not underage. It was never mentioned to me that they couldn?t have a couple of drinks or I would?ve made the rulesclear to everyone. Secondly, when the bar finally opened, there were long lines and the 3 bar tenders were slammed. Instead ofjumping behind the bar to help, she walked the parking lot and told guests they couldn?t drink outside. 3rd issue, I asked tohave garbage cans placed in the room so guests could toss cups or bottles. I was told ?Molly said no? this is an even center,we clear tables. That never happened and there was garbage on every table most of the evening. The grooms parents and myhusband would have happily assisted with clean up. However, the most discouraging thing happened at the end. Molly, a malestaff member and one of her bar tenders were overheard by family, bridal party members and guests, bashing our families andattendees while drinking in the old bar on the main floor. There were about 250 people at this event. Truthfully, I wassurprised by this because the initial meetings and subsequent communication with Molly was great. I?m very disappointed andembarrassed by her behavior and treatment of the guests and it is literally all I have heard about from people who eitherattended or were part of the party. I would?ve rather had the memories be of the wedding itself and not Molly. This is a Read more

My best friend got married at the Clearwater grille yesterday and let?s just say Molly made the experience a living hell. While... us girls were getting ready in the bridal sweet, we were informed that Molly was confiscating beverages from the groom andgroomsmen and dumping them out. Had we known Molly wasn?t allowing anyone to drink while getting ready prior to the wedding wewould have preordered alcohol through her. We weren?t even allowed to have mimosas in the bridal sweet while getting ready. Asguests arrived they were having beers in the parking lot while waiting for the ceremony to start and Molly was yet again outthere taking their beers and dumping them out. At this point we asked her to open the bar and she refused to do so until afterthe ceremony. Again, none of this was discussed upon booking her venue otherwise I am certain it wouldn?t have taken placethere. The bride was humiliated and very discouraged on what?s supposed to be the best day of her life. No it doesn?t endthere. The bride had to personally clean off the table cloths that were white and not ivory, the color in which they agreedupon. Molly didn?t seem to have a care in the world. She was upstairs drinking with another male staff member during thereception. Bad bad business. These are all minor issues that could?ve been easily resolved but Molly has no intention of workingwith us to accommodate the bride and grooms wishes. I would absolutely not recommend booking your special event there. Read more
