Absolutely fantastic the best smoked meat I've ever had any place in the world and I've been down south! My boyfriend... introduced me to this place four or five years ago and even though it's a long drive and really difficult to get to from wherewe are we try to make regular trips out there when we can! The outdoor seating is perfect for grabbing a bite of it before youtake it home because this stuff is too good to not grab a bite the second you get it!! Wanted to try somewhere new. Ordered pulled pork and BBQ chicken combo with mashed potatoes, beans & cornbread. Potatoes and... cornbread were really delicious! So I was excited. But pork and beans both had overpowering taste of, I'm guessing vinegarmaybe? Chicken was just OK. Couldn't even eat beans and pork after 2 bites and had to throw away. $20 wasted ????. If you looking for some real barbecue dishes southern style, Blue ribbon is by far the best. The best caterer in the area for... summer events and gatherings. Their menu is constantly changing on a daily basis providing specials in very unique sandwichesthat you're not going to see anywhere else like for instance a chopped chicken sandwich infused with blueberry habanero saucewith a side of Jamaican jerk chicken mac and cheese? I really want to like the BBQ from this place but for me my ribs were too dry and overly smokey and over sauced for my... tastes. I ordered ribs, baked beans, and coleslaw. The ribs were a dry but had a thick layer of sauce. The beans were about15% sauce. The coleslaw was good. The ribs just had this overpowering sauce and smoke combo. Smoked is good. Just had my first experience ordering take out. I am absolutely satisfied. I got the full slab, collard greens, mashed potatoes... and coleslaw. I am very picky when it comes to Cole slaw, but they do it really well and don't use eggs. Mashed potatoes are socreamy and buttery, collard greens were great.
