I am going to sue cafe Rio corporate unless I'm paid compensation for damages I've already suffered (and a surgery I now have to... have) and a full refund I am now suffering from a food born illness caused injury and ongoing health issues after eating at cafeRio on two separate occasions in the past two calenders months. I vomited multiple times, and have not been able to eat normallysince. I requested a refund and to have a corporate manager call me back from headquarters but none ever did. I was told I wouldrecieve a refund in 5 days as that was the soonest I could be refunded a d no other offers or suggestions of an insurancecompany or help with my new medical bills and need for surgery was the ever mentioned Because I still have t gotten my refund,am experiencing ongoing issues and now have to have surgery for a hernia I had diagnosed after going in for stomach discomfortafter this happened, I am now planning on seeking damages for lost wages, physical and emotional injury and financial losses asa direct result of this food born illness causing my ongoing worsening of symptoms As a former food safety manager, I was nothappy to see the chicken sitting out uncooked for an hour during my visit, and both the working and regional manager said theywere aware of this type of ongoing issue. In spite of that no corporate person attempted to contact me even though I statedmultiple times I had been diagnosed as having been injured as a result of my visits. Can?t get my order right. I have never ordered sweet pork but 5/10 times I visited they gave me the sweet pork anyway. If I... wanted sweet pork I would order it. You have to actually pay attention to what the customer orders and give them that thing. Ifyou try to order any meat besides sweet pork be warned. They will try to serve you sweet pork anyway. This is the third time that something like this happened to me in this location! I ordered a to go salad and they literally gave... me 1 spoon of sweet pork. I had to take off the salad because I couldn?t believe it. We use to be regulars, but I?m not goingback to that place. Read more
The food was great. The soda machine was out of 4 different flavors, but when I reported it, the employee went right to work to... fix it, so no issues there. I dropped a star because the bench seating we chose was filthy. Black beans and other mysterymaterial dried all over the seat. I got some napkins wet and scrubbed it until it was acceptable, but my guess from the resultsof my effort were that they hadn't washed the seats in a few weeks, at least.
