I had a terrible day on Thursday. I won't go into details but I left school early (around 8:50pm) to get here because I needed... some ice cream. I sped here bawling and got there at 9:03 when they close at 9. The ladies inside served me after close whenthey didn't have to and it made my night a little bit better, plus the ice cream was delicious. I don't know these women andthey don't know me but they are a little bit of good in this world. If they see this, I want to say thank you, and you don'tknow how much you can do in a person's life. ?? Cold stone is great. Everyone knows them as one of the original ice cream places and now Utah County has tons of options. So why... pick Cold Stone over things like Subzero, Handel?s, Leatherby?s, etc? They aren?t going to have the variety of flavors of apremium ice cream like Rockwell or Brooker?s. They are cheaper than them however. What they do have is one of the smoothesttextures (with a pudding element to the ice cream) and if you want to save it for later it stores better then almost any icecream place in the freezer. Came in for a birthday treat, with an emailed BOGO coupon in hand. The coupon simply stated to show it, and that you may be... asked for your ID. Fine. Employees could not figure out how to apply the coupon. They tried, but no one knew how to handle thisstandard coupon. We ended up paying for the ice cream that we were supposed to get for free (we even ordered the larger size,for this reason!), because nothing else could be done, and the line was building behind us. This place should accept their owncoupons like this, or find a way to make it right. We were not happy, and neither were the 10 people waiting to pay behindus. They could have offered something else, just not rung us up for one, or offered some other kind of way to honor it. So I have never had a bad experience at Cold Stone until today. The young lady serving was very short with me (kept cutting me... off for some reason). Besides that the largest size is the one I ordered for two of us but it was barely filled. The ice creamsat well below the waffle cone. I understand having a bad day and not wanting to deal with customers but don?t take it out onthe scoops. Super disappointed. Read more
