My wife and I enjoyed our first visit back to Salisbury House on Pembina Hwy, in a very l9ng time! We were not disappointed. We... thoroughly enjoyed our Mr Big Nip plate, with fries for me, and onion rings for my wife. The coffee was delicious and frequentlyreplenished. Our server was great! Food and atmosphere really good but the service lacked. We had 7 of us and the waitress didn't take our order for over 30 min. 3... of us were small children and they were cranky waiting. Not what I call good service. Read more
Great service from servers and employees, however As we were leaving we witnessed the unfortunate berating of an employee and... her partner. Referred to as " You and Donna " To hear people in the service industry having to be embarrassed and humiliatedpublicly by anyone while doing their job and continue to smile and serve customers as it's happening is not an acceptablepractice. We felt so bad for this precious server who did remarkable under this kind of pressure. The issue seemed to be theywere the blame for breaking a coffee maker because they were making coffee the incorrect way . So this individual stood overthem watching how they made coffee. Good food and great service there. So glad we tipped our waitress in a good way. Be kind toeach other. It goes a long way in business. You can get that liver and onions, Salisbury steak and fries. Overall, food was good. One of us got eggs over/undercooked. It... was redone but no good, then they applied a discount. The glass dividers (built for covid?) between the booths/tablessoundproof really well. They are not the temporarily looking glass at other places. They look permanently installed with someframing.
