Quality of the food has gone downhill fast since inflation hit food prices across the country. Wing nights used to bring my... crew in and we'd spend good money. Now, the prices have gone up and almost every food item is $20 with no real deals. Tavernis slightly better than Boston Pizza for a night out with buddies, but the vibe in the tavern has disappeared along with thegood food before the pandemic. Read more
Was there a few times in the last year with several family members. The service was pretty good though the food was lacking. ... Most specifically their wings on wing night, while I understand it can tend to be busy, at times they came out both slightlycold and over-cooked, either under-flavoured (subtle) or over-seasoned (piles left in the dish, overpowering). Decent place with a nice patio setup. I normally come for team outings every week but I find a fair bit to be desired every... time. The service is normally very meh and the the staff aren?t overly friendly. Several times our drinks have tasted verywatered down (including a Long Island Iced Tea which tasted like normal Iced Tea). With some of these instances the staff willnever check on the quality of their drinks or food when there is an issue and we will always be stuck with the wrong order andpay for it. One of the more amusing responses to a drink made wrong was the waitress responded ?well I actually didn?t see himmake it so???. And then proceeded to walk away from us. Sept 01, beautiful day and it?s our anniversary. Decided to go to TheTavern United patio and enjoy drinks and dinner with the... family and my brother. We were seated and my brother joined us about five minutes after. The table behind us left withoutordering. 15 minutes have passed and no one has approached us. My wife asked the busser if we can order and she said she willfind us our server. Another 10 minutes had passed and three tables that were seated after us hd their orders taken. We waitedanother five minutes and left. We are now at Smitty?s and was seated in less then 2 minutes. Thank you for making ouranniversary memorable and not in a good way. Update Nov 24: Management reached out and wanted to make things right. Just gothome and would like to say that our experience was great and the food was awesome. Thanks again!! Read more
