A great place to go for a drink or a date. The bartenders take that extra little bit of care with each cocktail. You notice the... little things like when they zest the rim of your glass. The food, however, was ok. The plates were nice and the presentationwas ok, but the flavours just couldn’t hold up to the quality of the cocktails. I would not recommend any of the desserts. Sothis rating is a tough one. I want to give them 5 stars for atmosphere, cocktails and bartenders, but 3 stars for food andservice. I believe they’ll sort this out over time. There has been a lot of hype around the Raven Room lately, so I made a reservation well in advance to make sure my husband and I... would be able to come here as part of our anniversary weekend away in Whistler. We came for appetizers and cocktails andeverything was super delicious! Our waitress was great- very friendly and let us know right away that if there wasn't somethingin the cocktail menu that appealed to us, that something custom could be made. She was very helpful in giving recommendations.Between my husband and I the cocktails we tried were the local lemon drop punch bowl, queen of Barbados, and sorry I droppedyour cherry. For appetizers we had the potato puffs and spicy Thai fried chicken. There punch bowl is a good value- $16 perperson and we each got the equivalent of 2 drinks out of it. The queen of Barbados was not as sweet as I expected butnonetheless was delicious. However the best cocktail by far was the 'sorry I dropped your cherry!' which came recommended to tohusband from our waitress as he likes sweeter drinks. It was so unexpectedly tasty- normally we would stray away from a cherryflavoured cocktail but we are glad we took her recommendation! it was my husbands drink but I ended up having a few sips. Thefood was 10/10. Both appetizers were FULL of flavour and worth every penny. I noticed that both appetizers are part of theirhappy hour menu too which looks like an awesome deal! I cannot say enough good things about the spicy Thai fried chicken andpotato puffs. The only reason for not rating 5 stars is some things are definitely way overpriced. For example, we wereconsidering getting the scallop and prawn appetizer but when I asked how much food it is, because they charge $27, the waitresstold me it was only about 3 of each. This is a bit hard to review this one The food and cocktails were good but the atmosphere was very down and cold. Service was... okay but could be improved. We ordered couple of different courses and not everyone’s food came at the same time. It means mywife had to wait for 10 minutes when we had our food. Also I called after I made the reservation and told them it’s mywife’s birthday to see how they can make our experience more special but the answer was “we don’t do any celebrationshere!” I guess you better not to go there if it’s a special event. Recently, I have started working my way through the menu of this great new gem of an establishment. Palate pleasing plates are... professionally prepared, placed and perfectly priced. My buds look forward to tasting more of the menu items every week. Kudosto all kitchen members behind the scene, as their work is unseen, but their efforts are not.
