We had lunch at Nite Hawk Cafe and the food was so flavourful that we went back the same day for supper! I ordered the Buffalo... Blue Chicken Burg and Goat Cheese Burg?each had a generous amount of cheese. They were out of roasted red pepper for the latterso I took our server's suggestion and substituted jalapeños - yum. The house cut fries are a must-try (with vinegar), and thedill dip was very tasty with the Classic Cactus Cuts. Service was friendly and prompt despite the bustling restaurant. Thescreened patio was also lovely. Read more

A very well, hidden gem, at least to this reviewer, in the Whiteshell area of Manitoba. A friend and I had frequented this area... often every summer, but had always went to the same restaurant /lounge at west hawk lake. On this day, however, serendipityWould have that the establishment we frequented was closed on Monday. We looked across the street and saw the night HawkCafé. Deciding that we needed to get something to eat we headed over there and were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance andenthusiasm of the serving staff. We sat out in there, fully covered and enclosed Deck area. The service was wonderful and, asstated, very enthusiastic. These days it?s hard to get serving staff due to Covid, but at the nighthawk they manage to not onlyhave serving staff that were very attentive, but pleasant to deal with. The food was quite good. My friend had both soups thatwere on Offer. A borsch and a split pea soup. He said both were very good. I, however, went for one of their specialty hotdogs. The spicy version that had banana peppers, jalapeños, a spicy sauce, onions, and cheese. On an open face bun. I also had aCaesar salad with my meal. We shared a pitcher of beer due to the waitresses recommendation that if we were going to have twoeach it was cheaper to get the pitcher. Nice touch :-) I found their prices to be reasonable. Their service to be wonderful. And their establishment to be clean and well-kept. I will definitely be going there again. Read more

Some of the best and most interesting burgers you can get in Manitoba! The ghost cheese burger is the favorite of one of the... groups I spend time with, and the big kahuna (pineapple and stuff) is the second favorite. They are generally quite busy, soexpect a wait, though one time we were able to skip the line by ordering online. Read more

The food is pretty good. Whomever created the dishes on the menu has some great creativity with flavors. The maple bacon burger... and Buffalo chicken wraps are very tasty. Portions are too small for the price unfortunately. That is my only complaint. For$20 I expect a little more than a tablespoon of coleslaw and a handful of fries with my burger or wrap. Read more

Was recommended by a friend and they didn't steer us wrong! Friendly service, great screened in patio with windows that close it... up to be comfortable in cooler weather. African peanut soup was wonderful and the hot dog with bacon and cheese was great. Freshhome cut fries were hot and tasty. A great place to stop on your way through. Read more
